Best Kitchen Appliance I Own
I have put this air fryer through the ringer in the last year and a half and it’s still going strong. I have cooked with this consistently in that time, and I recommend it to anyone looking for affordable air fryers. Just be careful of what you use to clean the dial, because some of the paint has started to come off.

Good fryer – fan lasted about 3.5 years
Bought this in December of 2020 and used it at least 2-3 times a week since then. Sometimes daily.Fan just died in June of 2024. The heater still works so this is basically now an oven instead of an air fryer. A mechanically inclined person could probably fix or replace the fan, but I am not one of those people. I will likely buy the same unit again.I like this style much better than the “bucket” air fryers because it’s very easy to clean. With the shelves you can just put a piece of parchment paper under the food and get practically no dripping. Granted this reduces the circulation, so the bottom tray won’t cook as fast as the top tray. I typically only use the top tray and flip things manually.I’ve cooked chicken, pork, steaks, shrimp in this thing with great results. It works as a toaster too, I heat up frozen eggos and snacks all the time.As someone who could barely work a microwave before this thing, i have now developed actual cooking skills. It makes a great starting point for those of us who were a bit intimidated by a full stove.

Easy to use, Hard to Clean
This air fryer is fast and great. It can also hold a lot of food and is easy to use. It will add a nice look to your kitchen. However there is one downside: the racks can be difficult to clean. That is why I always use the black tray when air frying. The black tray is easy to clean.

Money well spent
Awesome product. When we received it, I didn’t even know it had a rotisserie! Nice surprise. I doesn’t need warming up, it starts cooking right out of the gate! Well worth it

Multifunctional, works great!
This airfryer functions as a mini toaster oven, with a few extras. I purchased it to replace a toaster and check out the whole air fryer craze. As a single, it often meets my needs, saving a fair amount of electricity. I purchased it as “open box, brand new”. The only thing missing was the instruction manual. At the price, it is a small sacrifice. Terrific purchase!

Hard to Clean and Temperature is not Dependable
I read the reviews on this and really, really wanted to love it. Now I wonder if those reviewers have ever owned a good air fryer before. (And I don’t mean good like ‘name brand,’ I mean good like ‘convenient, easy to use, fast.’ This air fryer is none of those things.)We’re a family that uses our air fryer a lot. With just three of us, it often doesn’t make sense to turn on the oven to cook a few chicken nuggets for our daughter’s lunch. And it’s nice to be able to make fries while something else cooks in the oven. We usually use it for convenience foods or sides (as opposed to making a whole chicken or similar). When replacing our old air fryer I chose this one because of the versatility of having racks and the basket as opposed to only a basket. The rotation of the basket looked ideal to me to cook even, crispy foods. I also loved the window so you can monitor the doneness without opening the door. So, the pros:- versatile options for cooking- window to look in while cooking (with interior light!)- easy to use controlsThe cons (I’ll describe them below this list)- The temperature is not accurate and never gets close to the advertised 400- The door on mine is a little loose (might contribute to the above but I don’t think so)- There is no easy way to hold and empty the hot basket, or even set it down to empty.- The basket is a PAIN to cleanThe minor annoyances:- The tools do not store inside it- It is HUGE. I’ve owned several XL air fryers over the years and this thing is a giant among themDetails on the above follow. First, the temp. This is the major problem that makes the rest of the issues less tolerable. We were annoyed that our fries weren’t done after 30 minutes at 400. Past fryers take about 10-15 minutes. So, we inserted a wireless thermometer sensor into the thing and watched it for several minutes. It NEVER got above 341 degrees and usually hovered around 320. No wonder our food wasn’t cooking. This may or may not have to do with the fact that a lot of hot air leaks from the door on the front of the machine. However, holding it firmly cuts down on the leakage but doesn’t seem to help the interior temp. The rest of this is probably common sense (I mean: things I should have noticed by studying the photos before buying.) In case you didn’t notice them either: here they are. First the emptying. They provide a tool to remove the basket and that works fine. But after you remove the basket from the machine, now what? Whatever you set it on will leave crumbs/grease marks. You also can’t touch it with your hands because it has just come out of a hot oven. You will need to grasp it with two hands because the end of the basket has a catch you’ll need to pry open to get the food out. You cannot set it on its end because it has the metal dowel on each end to hook into the rotisserie rotator. If you touch it with hot mitts, those will get the crumbs and grease marks on them. We usually lie in on several folded paper towels, then brace it with one hot mitt while prying the lid open wearing a second hot mitt. Then you have to pick it up (still with the mitts) to dump the food out.Now again – take a good look at that basket. Let’s say you cooked some frozen shrimp poppers, tater tots, or anything that might leave crumbs behind. How are you going to clean it out? There is a metal lip all the way around it on each end. It’s solid on one end and has a door on the other; but the door also has a lip. You cannot dump the crumbs out – they get stuck on the lip. You can’t fill it with water and rinse the crumbs out: it’s mesh. You can’t turn it on its end and spray them out either: the ends are solid. The mesh is very fine, so the crumbs won’t just float out during soaking, nor can you press them through the mesh with a sponge. You have to wait for it to cool, then reach in there and pick them out. (If you have large hands, good luck.) I’ve looked at it carefully and can’t see a way to remove the entire end of the basket, though this would be ideal. It’s a royal pain to clean. The racks are easier to clean, as is the crumb tray. (You do usually have to wipe off the window too because stuff will fall on it while you’re trying to get the basket of food out of the machine.)As for the minor annoyance: You can’t fit the handle, basket, and racks in it for storage like you can with most other convenience kitchen tools (i.e. instant pot, slow cookers – you can store everything inside these when not in use). Yet, it’s a massive machine. Several inches larger in each dimension than my previous 6.8 qt fryers. It’s so huge, yet only the basket OR the racks fit inside and the basket’s handle doesn’t fit at all. I suppose this could be for safety reasons, but I find it annoying to have to find somewhere else to store the tools for this item.I got this on a good deal on Black Friday, but if I could buy again, I’d go with one of the traditional air fryers. Nonstick basket that is easy to manage, empty, and clean, consistent temperatures, a and more manageable size. I’m more inclined these days to heat up my oven and cook our food in there, than to haul out this air fryer only to have half-cooked soggy food 30 minutes later and a lot of cleanup to do. I’ll be looking into returning it.

Bastante bueno , solo señalar que tras un mes de uso continúa con olor a plástico quemado tras encenderlo. Refiere en el manual que es normal. Pero funciona a la perfección…

Get yourself this one, if you have a small space !!!
Works very well.I needed a smaller one, for my small kitchen and this one works as well as the little Power XL that I retired…. lolEasy enough to use without looking at the manual. The ‘basket-type shelf’ was designed nicely, so your food doesn’t slide off. Honestly I use my little AF almost every day. I can enjoy toast again thanks to this item!

At first I thought it wasn’t working
This is great and worth every penny!!! If you think the lights don’t work just unplug then plug in again. This is the best item I’ve ever got. It cooks everything from french fries, toast, chick , steak and more. This is great and you will not regret the purchase at all. Have a great time Even if you can’t cook you will be able to cook. 😊

Very cool item
This item is great. Just got it and tried it out with 3 items in it. Pizza, fries and chicken, one per rack, and it all turned out great. Speedy. Hot. Crunchy. It’s pretty quiet but yes can hear the fan. Good build and multi functional. The size also isn’t overly huge for a 12qt option

Save time, money and heating up the house
We’ve had this Chefman multifunctional unit for almost a year now, so I feel it’s a fair review for regular use. This thing is a BEAST! We love that we can make several things at the same time and bam, dinner is done. It handles different types of foods with ease (we’ve made brats with fries and brussels all at the same time, nothing was overdone/burnt, everything was perfect!) It’s awesome for meal prep for me in particular because I work 8on/6off. I can quickly and easily make 4 days’ worth of food without having to deal with much of a mess either! Cleaning up is a breeze, the racks can handle some weight, the machine overall is pretty durable. We haven’t used the rotisserie or dehydrator functions yet (rotisserie hasn’t been used due to having to find a small enough bird and I totally forgot it dehydrates) but we plan on using both of those ASAP since we love jerky and rotisserie chicken. We recently got 8.5 in square air fryer liners; they work well with this also, making clean-up even easier!SERIOUSLY – BUY THIS THING IF YOU WANT TO SAVE TIME, MONEY AND NOT HEAT UP YOUR HOUSE!

Great customer service
We originally bought this air fryer in June 2023. Just a few days ago it all of sudden just stopped working after more than a year of regular use and no issues. We reached out to chefman customer services to see what our options were. They requested a video showing that it wasn’t working. After submitting the requested info and video they are sending a replacement fryer.

AWESOME product!
I absolutely LOVE this air fryer/oven. It’s just me and my husband, so I didn’t like having so many difference small appliances to deal with just so I didn’t have to heat up the big oven for a small meal. This baby helped to eliminate three appliances that were taking up a lot of space on my counter top!!! I have not found one negative thing about it. It is very simple to operate, does a great job of cooking food whether using the air fryer or bake mode, and cleans up easily. I have not had the opportunity to use the dehydrator option as of yet, but plan to very soon. The icing on the cake, so to speak, is the rotisserie option! The ONLY problem I had was finding a chicken the right size! It did a beautiful job, and, well, I cannot recommend this product enough.

Finally! An air fryer that does it all!
This was replacing a basket style air dryer that didn’t work well and either burnt the food or it wouldn’t crisp up. First time using this and everything came out perfectly. Use it so often I leave it out all the time. No need to preheat and cooks evenly and easy to use.

Decent Product
I purchased this air fryer to replace a basket type fryer, I am quite pleased with the product. It is easier to clean and has a larger capacity than my previous fryer. The performance is good, as to longevity I haven’t had it long enough to rate. I also like that the cooking surfaces are stainless steel as opposed to the so called non stick surface in my older unit. Price point was reasonable.

Works ok… (10 qt. Model)
I like this as an air fryer, but, it has issues…The cons:1. Door feels very flimsy, not sure how long it will last with frequent use. Other reviews show it not staying closed after some time. I can see how this could become a problem.2. I cannot find additional trays or baking racks for it that FIT. I’d love a second solid baking rack. Tin foil and cooking spray it is on the mesh rack instead. I would buy yhem but Chefman is NOT responding to email or phone messages. NO confidence in product support or warranty, not responding to consumer requests. Bad form Chefman!3. Anything on very top rack will be overcooked no matter what, it is closest to heat source, you are forced to constantly rotate racks of food to ensure any sort of even cooking.4. Heat circulation in this unit is not great. Learned this the hard way making a bunch of tater tots. The top ones were little tater bricks.5. Rotating racks with food on them is also a problem because the racks it comes with do not slide in and out easily on all rows. Messy!6. No off button. If you accidentally touch the screen, it comes on, you cannot turn it off. You can STOP the cooking process, which I suppose is turning it off, but the screen stays lit up for quite a while waiting to be turned on again. I’d like to just turn it off. I guess I could just unplug it to be sure.7. Use cooking time and temp suggestions on the food package! Not the pre-sets, or you will have overcooked tater tots. Gosh! (IYKYN)The Pros:1. It is nice to not have to turn my oven on to cook freezer-foods. Flippin sweet!2. This definitely cuts down some cooking time.3. Very easy to clean after use.4. Very quiet while operating.5. Does not smell after cooking. I’ve read reviews of other air fryers people needed to buy filters for to keep odors down, and the need to leave oil in them (? Why?) This one just smells like the food I am cooking, same as if the oven were on, maybe a little stronger as it’s not as well insulated as an oven, but I expect to smell my food while it’s cooking. No lingering odor after, although I suppose if you let food residue build up in it, it will start to stink.6. Nice, compact unit, I don’t mind leaving it out on the counter.7. I like that it has a light you can turn on to look at/check food without opening it unnecessarily. Easier than in an oven, it’s at eye-level!I still have yet to try cooking meat in it with other things. I’m guessing I will have to trial and error the timing of doing meat, potatoes and vegetables. No way they all go in at same time. So far we’ve only done freezer food items and roasted vegetables, which came out nice, but again needed to be rotated where if I had used my oven, I could just roast away without any moving them around.Three stars, I’m in the middle on this one. Don’t love it but don’t hate it. I’ll use it as long as it lasts.

Multi purpose air fryer
I bought this to replace my 7 year old air fryer. I was impressed with the ratings it got on-line from a reviewing site. The multi trays are a nice feature for getting more items in at one time. All of the controls are right in front of you and are easy to use.I tried both the baking function and the dehydrating and found both to work well.I used some parchment sheets to keep the grids from getting too baked on and it was a good idea. Very easy to clean after. The tray on the bottom also helped with the cleanup. It seems sturdy enough and will hopefully last as long as my other fryer did.

Excellent little machine!
Ok, I’ll admit, not the greatest picture, but it does show a little of how it fits in my RV. My whole stove is to the right, so I could still cook on it. The air fryer fits between my sink and stove.I use mine at least twice a day. Some part of every meal is usually cooked in this little air fryer. I travel for work, 250ish days a year, so it sees heavy use 7 days a week. I have zero complaints. I don’t think you’d cook for many more than 2 people at a time in it, but that suits my needs perfectly.I’ve never used the 3 racks simultaneously, almost always just a single rack, but that hasn’t bothered me. It’s been a perfect appliance in the RV, and allows me to cook healthy meals while on the road, most importantly without burning too much propane by using my oven.I have ZERO complaints, and am a huge air fryer fan. I never gave them much thought until my wife bought me one for the RV. It lasted about two years before I bought this one, the more compact size has been perfect.Cleaning is easy. I noticed another reviewer mentioned the mesh racks. No big deal. Since I’m in an RV, I don’t have a dishwasher. I let them soak for a bit, then a scrub brush cleans them right up.For the RV people out there, I have a small rig that runs on 30 amp power. The ONLY time I have a problem is when I try to run the fryer, microwave, and AC at the same time. 2 of the three are fine, but all three trips the breaker. Not a huge inconvenience, especially when I have a gas range and oven to work with.Highly recommend. I’ve owned this one about 5 months, so I can’t speak to it’s longevity, but I can say in those 5 months it’s cooked at least 150 meals.

Nice but small
We purchased this air fryer and we loved it. The only thing that was a negative was the size. We thought 12 quarts would have been big enough for a family of 3, but I was wrong. I wanted it for the rotisserie and when I tried a 5lb bird, it wouldn’t fit. So it would be awesome for a single person or a couple, I didn’t think it was going to work for us, so I returned it and bought a larger unit.

Not Great, Not Horrible
After years of people telling me to get an air fryer, I went Christmas shopping for myself. The reviews on many fryers were pretty good, so I broke down and landed on the Chefman 10qt. It was an excellent Black Friday deal that came with a payment plan. It had the oven door style that I preferred over a basket, came with three (3) removable, dishwasher safe wire racks and rotisserie, had several optional settings (including dehydrate), and would fit under my upper cabinets.Upon arrival I saw that the countertop footprint is relatively small. Plus! Even when pulling it away from the wall to allow for air flow while using it, the door still had room to fully open without hanging off the edge of the counter. After a couple uses it was easy to get the hang of. Personally, I preferred to use my instincts for cooking rather than relying on the presets, so I cannot speak to the settings in detail as other reviewers have. Overall, the food turned out right. The problem I had with the one I was shipped is the continuous plastic smell. It was cleaned, used a few times, cleaned again, but every time there was a smell of hot plastic. To be somewhat expected since the entire casing is plastic, but not something I enjoy emanating in my kitchen. The door, while definitely closed during cooking, was a bit tough to open which started causing the heated plastic control panel to bow in the spot you place your thumb in order to open the door. The fan, on this model anyway, is loud. I was a bit startled when firing it up for the first time as it reminded me of an airplane engine as it’s warming up its rpms. I chalked it up to my never having owned an air fryer before and that it may be normal. I have found out since, that should not have gotten as loud as it did.I’m only removing one star because this is my experience with the particular item I received. Other reviewers have not had these issues so it would not be fair to rate the overall product as bad, just merely a moderately bad experience for me.Final thought: Cleaning the Chefman 10qt is super easy! While the description shows you can place the wire racks in the bottom of the dishwasher, the instructions say not to. I did, of course, and they came out fine, on heavy wash, each and every time. Just be aware that the racks are small, so there is no baking a 9″ round cake. Also, I went to the Chefman website looking for accessories to fit and found nothing but links for their various fryers all leading back to Amazon for purchase.

Wonderful!
This kitchen device is amazing! I love that I can bake without heating up my whole kitchen, and the air fryer works perfectly. I haven’t tried the rotisserie function yet, but I plan on doing so soon. The versatility of this appliance is impressive, making it a fantastic addition to my kitchen. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a multi-functional kitchen gadget.

Good – BUT!!
I like the machine, oven type and it works great and is faster than my old one which I guess was breaking – the features on this is all I need plus I like the HIGH FRY button for crisping at the endThe NEGATIVE – no matter how I measure the inside cooking space I don’t come anywhere near 12qts which is why I bought this model to begin with – the best I come up with is it’s 8.906qts which is why it gets only 4 stars instead of 5

Compact and versatile
So I purchased this air fryer last year; I’ve owned it for about 9 months as of the time of this review.First off, the size of the air fryer is deceptive. You can bake something up to the size of a pie in it. I’ve used both the air fryer and oven settings and both have worked exceptionally well. The mesh trays have proved to be sturdy so far; while I would like it if there was a solid tray I think I understand why there isn’t one, the mesh racks help ensure the proper movement of air so that things cook correctly in the air fryer. If you don’t want to cook directly on the wire rack you can put a piece of parchment paper under whatever it is that you’re cooking, that’s how I roast vegetables.I haven’t had any problems with the wire racks being flimsy; they seem durable enough to me.There’s a pull out drip tray in the bottom that makes cleaning the air fryer easy; it and the wire racks clean up just fine in the dishwasher. Otherwise, just wipe the air fryer out with a sponge or a damp cloth to clean it up. There’s also a wire mesh protector over the heating coil in the top of the fryer that you can pull out and run through the dishwasher if it gets dirty.I think it IS possible to be rough on this air fryer; if you slam the door around or overload the mesh trays with something exceptionally heavy you could damage both, but I don’t find this machine exceptionally brittle.Overall I think that this is a great air fryer, and it’s saved me a lot of having to mess around with the oven.

So far so good…….
While our current air fryer is still working, I bought this to replace the other when it dies. In the meantime this unit ALSO dehydrates food. I have a nice garden, and I really enjoy dehydrating tomatoes from the garden. Chopping up dehydrated tomatoes and adding them to a omelet is one of life’s guilty pleasures. This unit does 100% better than previous dehydrators. This unit has a switchable interior light which makes checking on things much easier.

Best air fryer I’ve used
Love the different functionalities and I prefer air fryers with racks. It’s more tall than wide so it frees some counter space. It’s easy to clean due to the removable door and nonstick drip pan. It looks appealing especially with the touch screen display and the countdown timer. I would buy again

I really like this thing.
Everyone kept telling me they love their air fryer, so I wanted one. I became obsessed with finding the perfect one for me so after a month I settled on this one. First thing I made was berry crisp, threw the stuff together in a couple single serve bake dishes, set it to 350 for 40 minutes and it was perfect. No preheating, no heating the entire apartment, just perfect crisp. There were several complaints from other buyers who said there were missing pieces or their units didn’t work, or initially worked and then stopped working. Mine came very well packaged, no damage, all parts included, so I have no complaints there but I understand if maybe some sellers are less thorough or trustworthy in regards to the products they provide. Some complained that it was loud. This is the most quiet kitchen appliance I have ever purchased, it makes less noise than my microwave. Also, I’m not quite sure why people complain that the drip tray isn’t large enough, it’s literally the same dimensions as the bottom of the unit, so any spill-over should land on the tray unless you’re filling this unit over capacity somehow, not sure how that is possible. I also want to mention that although heat did radiate from the unit immediately around it, it did not heat up my kitchen and it stayed warm to the touch but it wasn’t hot so despite baking for 40 minutes I was able to open the oven door with my bare hands. . . Anyway, I’m very happy, so far. This is only day one so I will come back and update.***Update*** Sept. 25. . . 2 months after purchase:I’m still in-love with this item. No electrical issues, whatsoever. Looks like others have had theirs just outright die after working perfectly the first few days or month. Thankfully, that is not the case with mine. Others also reported the door not shutting properly or at all. This, too, has not been an issue. I’ve basically used this item every other day since it arrived. The only thing I will say is that there is definitely room for improvement. But, I’m just not picky enough to care, I am content in my complacency. For those of you who do care about such details: The temp is set in increments of 10 degrees, 5 would be better. Also, if you decide to stop cooking sooner than the time you’ve set it for, the unit never turns off like it would if the timer completed and it’s “finished.” There is no “clear” or reset button or even an on/off button, so if it bothers you that the screen doesn’t power down and displays the minutes remaining until you decide to use it again then you’re forced to just unplug the unit and plug it back in. And when the timer is done the “BEEP” is very loud and it will beep 5 times, no matter what, it will not be silenced until it has completed its beeps. But there is actually an updated model of this item so these features might be improved (although I have no idea) but it might be worth checking that newer model out if these would be issues for you.**8 month update**The plastic on the handle has cracked, but it does not interfere with the functionality and I am still in love.** 2.5 year update, Jan 2024**Still works with consistent use!

Came on time, looks a lot like the 1 we got from Wal-Mart, but this 1 is smaller, & seems to be made a little cheaper. I love this air fryer. It’s big enough for rotisserie chicken and it’s easy to clean. If you’re using a basket style air fryer this is your sign to upgrade! Most items in this machine don’t even need to be flipped to be crispy on both sides. Keeps me from heating up my whole kitchen and doesn’t need to be preheated.

The god of all airfryers
No preheat needed, works like a charm, beeps super loud but that’s okay, if our kid turns it on without us in the room we know it 😂 the god of all airfryers 🥰

Good air fryer
It feels to be strongly constructed. And the works pretty fine. I’m a little bit disappointed because when you lay out the food on the three trays only the upper tray gets cooked well. The second one and the especially the third one are barely being cooked. I tried putting less pieces on the upper tray, then I got a little bit of better results on the second tray, but it’s still not what I have expected. Maybe I’ll get used to it and figure out how exactly to put the food in and how much at once.

Good airfryer
This is my second airfryer. I used to have the dome shaped one with the pull out basket. I have used this one twice now and in comparison I like it better than the other one. It has 3 racks which is a lot more surface area than my other one. My fries cooked so quickly and they were so crisp! I recommend putting foil on the bottom tray for easy clean up and to minimize drips. I haven’t tried the rotisserie option yet but am excited to. The only downfall is it is a bit big on my kitchen counter (I already have no space). Also it has a weird smell, like plastic? I’m wondering if that will go away with time.

Absolutely love it!
This is my 3rd air fryer thru the years and it’s the first one I couldn’t live without! I had the basket types before and I love this “toaster oven version so much more! You don’t have to “shake the basket” which is nice and it cooks everything so much better! With my basket fryers I always felt I was sacrificing quality/taste for ease when I cooked chicken and especially shrimp in them—they always came out better pan fried or oven baked. Not so with this one. I will buy this one again and again! Love it!

What a handy device!
My daughter and others kept talking about how much they LOVE their air fryers, so I finally broke down and got one. My goodness, what a handy thing it is!Rather than heat up the whole kitchen with the conventional oven – air fryer.Rather than make a big mess and splatter grease everywhere – air fryer. We find that we are more likely to actually prepare a meal with the air fryer than go to convenience foods, and that is better for our health. Also, the way things can be prepared in the air fryer is healthier for us.For most things, it’s basically a small countertop convection oven, and since I already knew how to use one of those, adapting to this one was much easier than I’d anticipated. Highly recommended, and sorry I didn’t get one sooner!

Didn’t work out for me, not what I was hoping for.
Ok, I try not to leave bad reviews because I feel bad. I understand that a product is created by people and people are relying on that product so I hate to feel that any negativity I may have experienced would reflect poorly on that product and it’s origins. I’m going to preface this by saying maybe for other households, this might be a mighty little appliance. It didn’t do for me. I was looking for something to replace my air fryer and my convection toaster oven, but I needed it to be something that would function at least 85% as well for both appliances. The good points – It’s cute. It’s very streamlined, almost like a little space capsule. Doesn’t have a large footprint on the counter; it’s so shiny and black and came with all of its accessories all perfectly packaged. And for the record, I did not notice any gas off odors while cooking. I won’t say that was any issue for me. No problems there. So I took everything out and washed/prepped it for my first use (and the only one as it would turn out). I wanted to make fries. Now I’m a french fry fanatic. I mean, I love them. Everyone in my life knows that the key to my heart is french fries. Co-workers need some assistance at work? Sure, if you want to return the favor…bring me some fries. I don’t need Starbucks man, carb me up! So here I am; I figure, what’s easier to do than frozen fries. I put some in all the top 2 layers and put 2 frozen beef patties on the bottom layer. Well, I’ll be darned if that thing took forever to cook the food. I mean it; it was like 3 cycles of 20 minutes each. I could not figure what was wrong. It was hot; it’s not like it didn’t get hot. I rotated the trays; I shuffled things around It wasn’t overfilled although on that note, I don’t think it was what I would consider a family size oven. Of course, I’m not comparing it to a standard oven, it just seemed like the usable space inside was not enough to accommodate the amount of food needed to feed more than 1-2 with ease. I’m not a large person; 5 feet tall and 100 pounds soaking wet; my husband is 6 feet and tipping the scales at 220 so I guess the 2 of us is like 3 average-ish people. If we had kids, somebody was not going to get fed. So after all that trying and shuffling and watching and waiting, in the end; it suddenly went over the threshold for yumability in a heartbeat. I figured I’d go all out and toast the buns; it worked only nominally better. Not the best toasting, that also took some finagling. Maybe it wasn’t the machine, maybe it was me; it sensed my doubt and could not live up to my hopes and dreams. Well, it was a very sad dinner that we had that night with the dried out fries and the dried out burgers. I was bitter. And then I had to wash those trays. Nope; that was not fun. I soaked them and scrubbed them with a brush and got them somehow clean again, but I had already come to the conclusion that our short relationship had come to an end. I sent it packing the next morning; I hadn’t even had it a whole 24 hours. I will give you that I did not test out it’s other functions. But if it don’t air fry and toast well for me; then it’s got to go. I won’t say don’t give it a try yourself. Take it with a grain of salt. I’ve sometimes ready glowing reviews for things that I thought was madness and sometimes took a chance on items that didn’t get great reviews for which the product performed like a rock star. Maybe I didn’t give it enough tries. I can’t say because that moment has passed. I did end up buying a different brand’s air fryer convection oven grill appliance and I gotta say I love it. Shop around, read the reviews, decide for yourself. Just throwing my thoughts out in the universe for absorption.

Love it
First time using it I made wings & I used two racks, the top rack cooked really good I did have to flip them, the bottom rack needed more time to get crispy so I swapped the racks when the top one had a good crisp to it, the racks are easy to clean I soaked them immediately after use & the food came off super easy. Light weight, not loud, ease of use.

Ok with some flaws though
Let me start by saying if you’re just using this for basic airfrying it’s a pretty decent unit with a small footprint, has an easy user interface, I don’t think it’s that loud (when comparing to my instant pot vortex mini), it cooks food really fast & the inside of the unit is easy to clean. Now to my issues with it… first as others have stated the wire racks don’t fit in super well & scrape the inside of the appliance now they’re very light scrapes so that didn’t really bother me but I know it does for others. What does bug me is the wire racks are so hard to clean either with a scrub brush or in the dishwasher & I haven’t been able to find anywhere to get replacements or a nonstick coated one. I’ve resorted to laying parchment paper on them but then that slightly hinders the air frying crispness performance.I also don’t like that there’s no way to change the fan speed if you’re trying to make light items like pepperoni or zucchini chips they’re going flying around like they’re in a dang tornado!! You also really can’t make multiple layers at once which sort of defeats the purpose of this type of multi rack air fryer. The top layer will over cook & the bottom layer will barely be cooked. You can kind of fix this by flipping the racks half way through but that’s an extra step that shouldn’t be necessary. Since the heating unit is only on the top as well as the fan I feel like the heating isn’t as all around as it should be in an air fryer. I’ve found that when making casseroles the top cheese layer burns so quickly (even with the rack in the lowest level) so you again must tweak how you cook it waiting to add the cheese layer til cooking is almost complete, yet another extra step. All of these little issues & extra steps have made me decide to return this air fryer as I was looking for something that would be a better all around appliance for air frying, baking, toasting, etc as my oven crapped out not too long ago & I just wanted a countertop device that could do it all! So if that’s what you’re looking for too I’d suggest to keep looking 🙂

It is pretty small
We are only a family of three and if i want to make something fast and easy i have to make multiple batches of food. It works great and makes it just like deep frying but i wish it was a little bit bigger!

Good little air fryer
Works nicely in general! It doesn’t really seem to cook more than one thing at a time very well though. If I cook Brussel sprouts on a top basket tray, the turkey patties I have under it don’t cook as quickly (even on meat setting). However, still does a really good job. Excellent for salmon!

Amazing air fryer
I have bought this because my house oven stop working and couldn’t afford one now. However this fryer has been great so far for my steaks , chicken nuggets for my son , baked our biscuits , fry French fries. Works great it actually cooks everything faster and it does get really hot. I do like my purchase and I am still learning how to use this fryer and can’t wait to use the other tools like doing my rotisserie chicken .

My first airoven!
I have never used an air oven before this. I used it to make baked potatoes, it takes longer than I expected, however the clean up is easy. It also doesn’t heat the kitchen up like using an oven. I had no idea! I don’t like how you can silence the timer alarm, I need noisy reminders or I think it is not ready yet. Otherwise, it works. And its inexpensive.

Good air fryer, average in other functions
This is definitely one of the best air fryer I have owned. It is quick and I am fan of the space. I am able to cook a lot more. I tried bake functionality as well but the cake preset setting doesn’t make a cake even in double time.

Small inside
Seems to work well. I haven’t tried to rotisserie a chicken yet. It’s small inside so I’m not sure one would fit. Maybe Cornish hen lol.

Does Chefman have Customer Service? REVISION: Yes and very knowledgeable!
I called Chefman twice today. Nobody there to answer questions. I waited on the phone for 30 minutes at Chefman this afternoon for ANYONE to answer. I have questions as this model does not come with a User Guide. I can’t find one online either for this particular model. If Chefman doesn’t care about Customer Service, as it appears, I will probably just send it back for a different brand.REVISION: I called Chefman Customer Service back the next morning. Answered on the first ring! She was so very helpful over the phone, was able to answer all of my questions…..problem solved. We are keeping the Air Fryer!!
