    Not happy

They worked the frist battery and then f up and the trim and remote won’t work they launch off at full speed and forward and can fix through the trim. So when they take off in a hover.

Don’t waste your time buying this.

Bought this for my kids birthday, was opened after return date expired, and it doesn’t even fly. Didn’t expect this to be some top of the line drone, but come on can’t even fly a bit? Read the directions a few times, made sure batteries were charged, and only thing seems to work is the leds.Would recommend skipping this product and finding another.

    Fun, but complicated

It works fine after we got past the confusing directions. My kids use this to play (aka torture lol) the dogs and cats… and the animals love it! I never thought it would end up being a toy for the animals, but so be it. The only thing is the battery life, which is fine. After about 10 minutes interest gets lost by humans and animals alike. Overall, it’s ok.

Not a toy for small kids

The listing on the website says (as of today) “A perfect drone for kids 8 to 12.”. It is not. The manual itself recommends it for 14+ and apart from the hot pink color, I would agree. This is not a professional or racing drone but it’s way more than a young kid can handle. The drone itself is fairly small (more or less fits in the palm of a hand) and obviously very lightweight. It comes with a remote control, 4 replacement propellers, a propeller tool and 2 batteries with USB-A charging wires. The batteries are very small and light weight. They are supposed to last about 30 minutes but I seriously doubt they will. The batteries snap in the back of the drone. At least in the one I got they don’t really make a solid snap or a solid connection and require a bit of jiggling to get in place. All the while you’re holding a drone that feels quite fragile in the hand and that you don’t want to force too much. Some skill is needed.Once set up, turning the drone on and pairing it with the remote control is fairly simple and no other setup is required. The controls are standard and provide 4 degrees of freedom — you can fly up/down, forwards/backwards, translate left/right and yaw left/right. The drone is fairly stable but it requires zeroing the gyros on the ground before taking off and them trimming some drift once in the air. I’ve only flown it indoors for now and even without any air current some amount of trimming is required. The drone flies quite fast, at least for an indoor environment. There are 3 speed settings and the lowest is fine. Outdoor the faster ones might be interesting to play with but it’s very simple for the drone to get away if the pilot is not skilled enough (and I’m not). Forward/backward, translation and yaw are fairly well harmonized but especially going up is not. The drone wants to jump up very quickly, a slower reaction would help. Descending is a bit more graceful and easier to control more precisely. The controls and performance characteristics of this drone require some skill and are definitely not for a young child. Take offs and landings are automatic (there’s a dedicated button) but then you have to contend with 2 2-axis joysticks, 4 trim buttons, 2 control modes (relative and ‘headless’), plus a few miscellaneous buttons for the emergency landing (= cutting the power), the flip maneuver, etc. It’s not very easy to coordinate for someone inexperienced and the drone is definitely not designed to resist high speed impacts.I have some doubts about its longevity too. Drones like this one must be lightweight by their nature but this one is particularly so. The battery also runs hot — flying for a few minutes makes it so warm that pressing a finger against it is almost painful. I can see it deteriorating quickly over time, and I’m not sure if it’s a standard shape/connector that can be replaced easily. All in all, I definitely cannot recommend this drone for a kid, which is what it’s being advertised for. As per above, the manual itself says it’s 14+. However as a young adult toy it works pretty well, assuming mechanically and electronically nothing gives up after a bit.

    Very compact

This product is for older kids, but my 4 year old has a blast with her dad when they play together. The drone is small enough to use in the house (if you know what you’re doing). It’s cute, compact, and just as pictured. The only down side is that you can’t use it on a windy day or the wind will definitely pick it up. Overall, a good buy.

Pleasantly surprised, an excellent starter drone

The media could not be loaded.

This thing was really fun to play with. It has a LOT of professional-level features built into a toy that should be in the $50-60 range, but is instead $40. It was responsive and stable while in the air, and its internal ‘save me’ sensors work really well, until it hits the ground. Then it gets startled, frantically flies up, and tries to stabilize. Of course, this doesn’t happen if you’re a good pilot and not trying to test it in a crowded room, lol! After getting used to it, there’s a ‘speed change’ button on the upper left that allows you to increase the speed at which it flies and turns. This was very nice, since it starts off in beginner mode. It also has trim buttons that you use to make sure it doesn’t slowly float to the left/right/front/back. They worked excellently, and I quickly got it to the point where it hovered almost completely still. The flip button worked just as advertised, and gave me a giggle- kinda sad that you can’t do a flip on your own, though (at least not with my experimentation and testing). The take off/land button worked well when taking off, but it seemed to dislike landing, I could never quite get it to work. You can really only use it in racecar/floor mode on a smooth floor, it won’t go over carpet or bumpy/rough tile. The battery lasted 5-6 minutes per flight, and the double-charging cord is nice, I feel like the manufacturer took into account that people would need to charge both batteries at once.Pros:-very feature-rich for the price-extremely entertaining-definitely advertised to the correct age group, this is for ages 12+-you can turn off the LEDs to extend the battery life a bit-the LEDs are useful for beginners because it distinguishes the front from the back-it has a more entertaining look, seeming like an airborne F1 car instead of a typical drone-comes with extra parts-has decent built-in ‘save me’ featuresCons:-the gyroscope and sensors can go a bit nuts if you land on an object by accident without using the land buttonWould I buy it?-Yes, even for myself. This is a great little toy, and an excellent introducer for anyone wanting to learn to fly drones._____________________My rating system:5 Stars: Blew my mind, excellent.4 Stars: Really good.3 Stars: Average, nothing to write home about.2 Stars: It has some problems.1 Star: I don’t like it and wouldn’t get it.

Good entry level drone, fun to fly.

This review is for the Drones for Kids – Toys for Boys Girls Perfect Christmas and Birthday Gifts – Dual Mode for Land and Fly Match LED Flash Lights wheels with 12 Scene Modes (Canyon Red). The Drone is fun to use, has your average battery life about 12-13 minutes, my kids enjoy playing with it in the house, at night the LED lights help you keep track of where the drone is flying. The battery is easy to install, you get two batteries, and you charge each battery individually with the USB chargers. Remote is labeled, drone is fun to use at short ranges, would make a great gift.

A good STEM toy for teaching spatial awareness.

✅There are 2 operational modes; “land” mode, in which the drone behaves as a hovercraft; and “flight” mode, in which the drone takes flight.✅There are 2 sets of drone batteries and charging cables; so that you could charge both at the same time. Use a 5V/1A adapter for each battery, or a single 5V/2A dual adapter to charge both at the same time (see picture).⚠️Become familiar with which end of the drone is “front” and “back” (see pictures).⚠️Commit the location of the controller buttons to “muscle memory.” Once the drone is airborne, you won’t have time to look at or read the controller labels.⚠️After takeoff, ***IMMEDIATELY*** adjust the trim controls, so the drone remains stationary.⚠️The spare propellers are designed to be installed in specific locations. Improper installation will result in unsatisfactory performance, or improper operation.⚠️The product page gives the age appropriateness as 8 to 12; but the instruction guide says 14+. As long as the child can comprehend the instruction manual, and understands the drone’s limitations, I think 8+ is an appropriate age.❌The controller uses the 2.4 GHz band. WiFi and microwave ovens may interfere with proper control.I am rating this at 4 stars; for educational value, complexity level, quality, and value proposition.

Inexpensive drone that is not easy to break

First, we need to level set. This will never be as good as a $300 drone. Obviously, for the price it cannot compete with something closed to 10 times the price! But if you want a fun drone for kids to play with without worry they will destroy the drone or the house, this is the one for you.The drone is not easy to fly – it needs to be calibrated each time you turn it on. Not hard to do, but it is a learning curve for sure. For kids, that is not an issue – you know how they bulldog things until they get it perfect when they want to do so (not so much for schoolwork, lol).Once it is dialed in, it is a lot of fun to fly. You can do loops, hover, change the lighting styles mid flight, on and on. It can go about 35ish feet away from you before it loses signal. When it does, it just crashes, which is nothing to worry about. It falls to the ground and blinks bright red. It also blinks bright red when you crash it into something. This makes it easy to find. Of course, then you have to turn it off and back on again, which means recalibration. But that is the penalty paid for crashing. :)Lots of fun. I had a video to post but it became corrupted and I did not want to wait longer to post. This is a lot of fun for not a lot of money. It is cheap enough that if the kids destroy it, who cares. But they will not want to do that, since it is so much fun.Get it, you and your kids will love it. Take note that when I say your kids, I also include you if you are a kid at heart. My kid is in her 30s, so this was for me. I love it, so much fun. Worth every penny.

    Pretty cool

This is cool it’s also small but it lights up which makes up for that. It comes with 4 extra propellers and it has 2 batteries. The remote reminds me of a small video game controller and has several buttons to do tricks and you can turn the LED lights on/off as well. Also it has one key take off and landing which is great for beginners and has an emergency stop button but you have to hold it for it to activate which is good because it can’t be pressed by accident. Definitely a fun drone.

    Impressive little guy!

I’m a teacher, so I decided to test this toy out with the kids in my class. I have ages ranging between 8-11.They thought this was the coolest toy ever!! They all wanted to play with it, but only a few could actually figure out how to use it and with this being so small and made of thin, cheap plastic, I didn’t feel comfortable letting all of the children take a try. Plus, one of the kids actually got it stuck in their hair and I had to pull the blades out to untangle it from her hair, so there is some risk with using this.Syncing was a little difficult, too. Between the controller and the drone. Once we got it off the ground, it was really super cool, yet still complicated to steer. The flips and tricks were so cool!I’m thinking this toy is more for the 11-15 year olds, so this will only be a special occasion toy with adult supervision. Also, the run time is only about 6 mins per battery, and it does comes with two batteries, but that’s still not a lot of playtime.Overall, it’s a super cool toy, but for older kids and needs a lot of practice to get perfect. Also still not happy about the syncing issue. It’s frustrating. You spend as much time trying to get it to sync as you do playing with it, but that being said, everyone loves this thing!

These little drones are amazing for kids and so much fun (Even for dad)!

I bought two of these for my girls (7 and 9). They are always playing with them in the house. They are small and a perfect size for indoors as they are lightweight enough not to really hurt anything that they bump into (depends on each household, of course) and the propeller protectors have been awesome at protecting every hit they make into the walls and objects as my kids (and dad) are learning together.Regarding the life of the battery, they will run out in about 10 minutes or so, but given how small these drones are and how much smaller the batteries are, it’s a miracle that they last 10 minutes. The good thing is that each drone receives 2 batteries and two battery chargers to make up for it, so we can play while another set of batteries are recharging. However, we still have to have a waiting period for them to charge after going through two sets of batteries, but that’s ok,I will be checking to see if there are just extra batteries we can purchase in order to have pretty much have a full hour of fun without having to wait for batteries to be charged.Overall – Money well spent on the fun and enjoyment we are having with theseOne of the fun things we like to set up with these is a race track on the floor and we race them like cars as they feel like they are 4-wheel drifting around the corners. The kids love it and it’s a very good time to spend with the kids having fun and laughing the whole time. Great product and I will be buying a couple more so that I can race with my kids! Lol

Great toy for 8 year old

This is NOT a $300 professional drone. It’s light, does not do well in outdoor, windy conditions, and exactly what I expected for a sub $40 “toy”. You cannot calibrate it for high wind… (I tried). It’s a keeper though for the cost and fun.Easy setup, calibration, and initial take off. Easy for 8 year old to learn… under supervision. “Land now” button is the first to teach and often used. After that, it’s been all smiles. After a few flights, he was showing me the “flip” button and aerial tricks.Do I expect this toy to last 2 years? No. Great beginner drone toy for a child.

    Do not waste your money

Do not waste your money on this drone. It’s not even worth $5 let alone $40. It’s listed for kids 8-12 but box is 14+!!! It is so fragile and light-weight it won’t last in a kids hands longer than a few days. The battery life is only a few minutes which requires constant recharging and changing of battery. One of the worst Amazon purchases.

This was my 10yo daughter’s first drone. It’s cute, adorable, & durable. She received it for Christmas, has played with it multiple times, & it hasn’t broken! We’ve had bad luck with drones for my son, so an excited this one has so far lasted a month without any issues!

For the money, this is a good product. Easy to use and flies accurately. The battery lasts about 15 minutes but does come with two batteries so it’s best to keep one charging while using the other. It’s also comes with additional propellers.

    Easy to control; excellent instructions

The media could not be loaded.

This kids’ drone is a total blast!! It is easy to operate – even for my seven year old. The instructions are understandable, and as elaborate as they need to be. Each step is explained, and also includes a picture to back it up. The remote is clearly labeled, and has certain buttons designed to help you succeed in flying this drone. It even has a button that does the take off and landing for you, which would otherwise be the hardest part. This drone can do flips, and has LED lights that can be set to one specific color. It also has an option that will change the color for you every several seconds so you can have them all. To top it off, this drone even has a land mode. You can actually leave it on the ground, and steer it just like a regular RC car. This drone is really amazing, and I love that it’s simple enough for my son to operate. I only found one issue with this drone. The battery life is extremely short. It only lasts for about ten minutes, at the most. It does perform a lot of different actions, which I know use a lot of power. Plus, it’s very small and lightweight. So I imagine a larger battery could affect the weight, which would affect its balance and performance. But ten minutes isn’t very long, especially for a child. On the upside – it does come with two batteries and two charging cords. So at least you can switch the batteries out, and get twenty minutes of use. It also comes with replacement propellers, and the tools needed to replace them, if needed.

Easy to launch , doesnt seem to follow directions very well though

This drone was really easy to connect and to launch but it seemed like we could never get it to follow the controls of the remote. Either it just wouldnt calibrate properly or something was a little off with the way it navigates. it kept flying off to one particular side and went over the fence numerous times because we just could not get it to come back our direction. we tried on a day with no wind at all and we tried on days that had wind and it did not seem to make a difference. if you keep it low you can make it drop before it gets over the fence but it was just too hard to control. battery lasted about 10 or 15 min which is about average and it took about an hour to fully charge the battery again. quality is pretty good, it was a little more durable than some i have seen . Price is reasonable

Not The Best Looking Drone But Performs Well and Nice Remote

WHAT’S INCLUDED:-Drone-2 Rechargeable 3.7v 430mAh 1.60Wh batteries-2 USB to Battery Charging Cables-4 Extra Propellers-Propeller Puller-Mini Screwdriver-Color Instruction manualPRODUCT:This Mini Drone has a staggered style design as opposed to your normal flat design. This is to aid the drone in a very low elevation “Car” style mode, which requires a smooth surface below it. (hard floors etc)The drone tested is the RAOED EC210This drone has all the normal features you would expect:-headless Mode-One button take-off/landing-3d Flips-Altitude hold-Multiple Seeds (3 settings)-Trimming-Emergency stopIt also has some other things-LED lights. 12 Modes Total. Defaults to Red/Green-Circle Flying Mode-”Terrestrial” mode where you can fly this on a flat surface-Low Battery Auto landingThe remote that this comes with is well laid out and every button is actually labeled on the controller itself. This is different than a lot of drones in this cost range. The construction feels good, and the joysticks spring back to center easily. Overall it feels good in the hands.Battery Life:They advertise this for about 7 minutes for one battery. I got about 10 minutes and your flight time will vary depending on the speed you’re using. But you do get 2 batteries that will double your fun time.FINAL THOUGHTS:Pros:-It’s not the most responsive drone, but it’s not the worst. I would say it’s above average still. The performance still felt nice.-3 Speed modes to choose from, let you go pretty fast-Having ALL the buttons on the remote labeled is a big bonus instead of having to constantly look back at the manual-Speaking of the manual, it’s actually well laid out, the instructions are written correctly, and they use color. It’s one of the better mini drone manuals I’ve used so far.-Not every drone has an auto landing when the battery is about to run out, but this one does-Good amount of LED lights to choose from. It’s not a necessity to be able to change them but I like having the option and especially kids like to change them to match their style.-The flight time is pretty short but at least they give you 2 batteries, including 2 charging cables so you can charge both of them at the same time.Cons: This is more of a preference than a true con but this drone is UGLY lol. The one I have is blue, but honestly, I don’t think any of the colors are very appealing along with the fake carbon fiber style body pattern they tried to use.If they worked on the aesthetic style of this drone, it would be really good. It has a lot going for it, but I think how it looks is going to turn people off. Having a fully labeled controller and a good manual that is properly written well enough makes a big difference.

    Fun, more for indoors.

This little drone is fun to play with but it struggles outdoors. The drone is very light weight and the motors can not keep it from blowing away in the slightest breeze. The battery does allow enough time to really enjoy this drone. It is surprisingly nimble and responsive to the slightest touch on the controls.

Fun hover racing over the floor

This done is pretty easy to control. It’s not too fast either. It’s fun driving it on the ground but there is no reverse in this mode so it takes some getting used to. It does drive well with no issues in this mode, though. There are buttons on the controller to trim the directions and tricks as well as controlling the lights.. The battery lasts long enough before having to swap.

A Fun and Versatile Toy for Kids of All Ages

I got this drone for my 7 year old nephew’s birthday and he absolutely loves it! He plays with it inside, outside, …he tried to fly it in the suburban and nearly gave me a heart attack! LOL! The dual mode feature allows it to fly in the air or roll on the ground. The LED flashing lights, and the 12 scene modes, seem to fascinate him and add a lot of excitement for him every time he starts to play. He LOVES color! The drone was simple to charge, and was fairly easy for him to learn to control. He picked it up within about 2 hours and mastered it. It handled quite a few crashes and tumbles well but I was glad it came with an extra propeller along with the manual. Now he is very coordinated and it is fun to watch him control it and fly it around. The only thing that I would suggest is to be careful with the battery life, as it can run out quickly if you use the drone for a long time. It would be nice if the drone had a low battery indicator or a longer battery life.Overall, I think this is a great product. It is fun, versatile, and affordable. It was an instant hit for everyone at the party and now, nearly 6 weeks later, he is still playing with it nearly every day. I would recommend this toy for any child who is inquisitive and curious. I am giving 4 stars only because I wish it came with 2 batteries. What do you think of this product review? Do you have any questions or comments? Feel free to share them, I would love to hear from you! I am also happy to answer any questions you might have if you would like to ask.

2 in 1? Not so much

Picked up this mini drone as a fun toy to enjoy flying with my son. Loved that it came with two batteries and they charge rather quickly. The pitch is that this drone can be both a car style and a flying drone style. I will say that the car mode is nonexistent. The drone mode seemed like it would be great, but we had a heck of a time trying to get it calibrated and flying correctly. It was crashed a few times and tossed to the side by the kiddo. The hunt for a reasonable drone toy for the youngest continues…..

    Flies well

This is a great little drone with a couple downsides. Lets start with the positives.Pros: fun size, about as big as a hand, flies smoothly, easy controls, comes with 2 batteries and 2 chargers so there is little wait time, decent battery life (about 10 min per battery), LED lights on blades.Cons: appears to be cheaply made, the body is plastic covered in basically a red solo cup in the shape of a drone, its malleable plastic – i get it for lightness, but it still was disappointing. Lastly the blades are SHARP if it hits you or you try to stop it with your arm/hand as they are exposed.I have had multiple small drones in the past and this one is is just as good despite the construction being a bit cheap. This was really fun for my kids to play with and we love the lights on the blade area. The 2 green blades mark the front of the drone for steering and when the battery starts to die all 4 turn red and it beeps to let you know. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a bit of fun with a small drone.

    Great for beginners

This little drone is a lot of fun but it isn’t the sturdiest. It would be a great beginner drone before you spend a lot of money on a better one. Everyone in the family has played with it and we have had a lot of fun with it both inside and outside.

TAPE HELPS KEEPS BATTERY SECURE DURING FLIGHT

I’ve never had a drone until I got this EC210 drone set. I’m very happy with the drone. Thank goodness for the easy to follow instructions. The remote control requires 3 AAA batteries, which were not included. After charging the drone battery and the one spare, I installed a battery into the drone, and thought I heard the click of secure installation, but the battery kept popping out when calibrating. So I put a small strip of clear tape over the battery and secured it to the edge of the drone underside housing. Then I carefully used a gloved hand to hold the drone in place on a table, and pressed the one key take-off/land button to check prop rotation and make sure the battery wouldn’t pop out. Fortunately the battery now stayed in place, and the drone functioned as it should via the control buttons.I’m glad I had a glove on my hand when my finger accidently touched a prop once during the initial drone test. Ouch! To prevent injury, do not make the mistake of touching any prop during operation, especially without a sturdy glove to protect against getting skin sliced by a prop. I’ve decided to wear gloves and eye protection when operating the drone.I made sure to take-off, fly, and land the drone over a grassy ground area when learning how to use the various drone functions. Success! I wish there was a connection on the remote control to install a lanyard to prevent breakage if I accidently drop the control on a hard surface.Kids under 14 should definitely be supervised by an adult to operate the drone. It is a highly engineered device, not a toy, that requires the operator to use safely in regard to the 4 high speed props, and the drone itself which moves extremely fast. The drone set contained everything I need to make the set a cost effective way to have fun operating and maintaining a drone.

    Small size

Bought two different drones for 2 grandsons. Such a size difference! Can’t give such different sizes. Kids don’t understand. Will have to return one of them to get a similar size one.

    Not great.

Directions were overly complicated for just starting the drone up and getting it calibrated, constantly had to recalibrate the drone and even then it would only fly correctly for a few minutes before veering off to one side or the other. Quality was lacking and the remote was overly complicated with buttons for such a small drone. Wouldn’t buy again. Ended up just getting rid of it and buying my son something easier to use.

    Good product

The Children’s Drone is a game-changer for young tech explorers! My nephew absolutely loves it—easy to fly, durable, and the LED lights make it a visual delight. The simplified controls mean less time figuring things out and more time soaring through the skies. It’s a perfect balance of fun and learning.

    Wow!

Bought it for my kiddo & he loves it. It’s fun and keeps him busy for hours. It takes some time to understand how to operate but once you do it is easy. Good quality as well for the price

Didn’t last more than a week

My son loved this toy! Easy for an eight year old to learn how to fly. But it broke probably five days into using in a crash in the house. I contacted Amazon and they sent me a brand new one. That one only lasted two days. The batteries were not charging properly.
