Great Product
Have never bought a Lego model before but was thrilled with the model and process to build it. It was my main activity post surgery, and was a wonderful way of distracting me during recovery.

Very nice
Really enjoyed building this. Haven’t built with Legos since I was a kid.My only complaint are the parts are spread between allot of bags. It was a little annoying to hunt for the next piece. Other than that it’s excellent. The size is bigger than expected

I bought this for someone. He loved it, everyone loved it. Looks amazing. I mean what else can we say about lego right? Assembly was a little tedious because the bags weren’t numbered, but overall great experience and very fun. Loved it

Great car but bags not numbered
This was a gift for my son (and of course, for me too). He is an avid Lego builder. We’ve done many of the other Technic car sets. What we found more challenging about this one was the bags were not numbered. This meant we needed space/organization to have all the pieces out at once. It doesn’t make the build any more difficult, just a pain to have the room to lay all the pieces out. We love the car though.

if you are looking for a big lego set with prints this is not a good set to get.
this Lego Porsche is big but it has to much stinkers and they mite fall off.i really like the looks but i don’t like the fact that you can’t see the pistons so well.if this Porsche was bigger than it is i would like it more than a do.there is a full 2 stickers sheets if the porsche had more prints than stickers it would be better for me.i love lego technic sets and i like the detail but if you break it it’s hard to fix so you don’t want to let a baby mess with it if you can’t see them.it’s not so hard to build it but it is hard to see the inside.

Gift for fifteen year old Lego fan
My grandson assembled this model on a rainy Sunday afternoon. He loves it. The pieces were all there and the finished Porsche is definitely impressive-looking.Value? That is hard to determine since Legos are typically over-priced. If affordability is an issue in purchasing it is probably not the best choice.

Amazing!
I got this as a gift for my boyfriend as we both enjoy building lego pieces. He’s never put something like this together before so I thought this would be the perfect gift. It took him about 2 days to put it together (not sure how many hours in total). He absolutely loves it but admitted it was definitely a long process and he felt like it took forever to put together. One thing I will add is that this is different from other lego sets as it does not include a step-by-step in the book, so you just have to sift through all the bags to find the parts you’re looking for.Overall, it was a great purchase and a great gift for something who likes legos, cars, and a bit of a challenge.

Took my boyfriend hours to complete
I bought this for my boyfriend as a gift, he likes putting these together. It took him a whole weekend to build. He was at it for hours each day. The end result looks really nice – it’s a large Lego car. His one complaint is that the parts didn’t come organized, so he had to sift through all of the bags to find each piece he needed, which added to the time it took to complete it.

Good medium difficulty Technic car but too many stickers
This particular build is comparable to the Lego Ferrari 488 AF Corse and not to the “supercar” builds like the Lamborgini, Bugatti, or Ferrari Daytona. There is no transmission to be built, just an engine bay with moving pistons that move with the rear wheels. Also, the level of detail is somewhat less than the higher end (and higher priced) Lego Technic cars.PRO:Visually impressive build. Good use of technic pieces to make it look like a Porsche when completed.CONS:This set did not have numbered bags like most of the recent Lego sets I’ve built, so it was slightly more work to sort the pieces to build. There are a lot of stickers which are not fun to install just right (lining up multiple stickers across multiple pieces to form one decal on the vehicle).OTHER:If you’re only going to buy this or the Ferrari 488, I’d buy the Ferrari. If you want a different set in this price range, the Land Rover Discovery is a much better and more rewarding build.

Beautiful end result terrible build
Firstly can I saw the end result looks amazing and I think it’s worth every penny I spent on it yet, building this was bar far the most annoying thing ever. First off there’s 1580 pieces in this build, not to mention the majority being small pieces, and NO bags were labeled with numbers. I’ve never came across a Lego set were the bags weren’t labeled. This made the build far more difficult since you’ll have to open all 1580 parts at once. I also have a cat meaning I can not leave Lego pieces out so when I’m done building for the day all the parts get mixed together in a bag so I was unable to keep them organized. Then my book guide was messed up. I had a whole section of about 15 pages missing causing me to go online and look for the digital book. Then later on I had a section of repeated older pages. I’m very happy with the outcome, but I don’t see the reasoning behind not labeling the bags. All big Lego sets like this should be organized and labeled so building can be easy going and enjoyable.

Rare miss for LEGO
I have been a fan of LEGO Technic for some time. I was looking forward to starting on this kit when I discovered, much to my disappointment, LEGO decided not to number the bags. Looking on LEGO’s website, they said it was to make the kit more challenging. Why then isn’t that information on the box or at least in the description? If I want additional challenges, I could simply put all the pieces in one bag myself! What LEGO did, was simply motivate me to buy non-LEGO brands. I can be “challenged” by off brand kits for a fraction of the price.I buy these kits to relax. I don’t want a “challenge “. If I did, I would build wooden ship models.I’m disappointed in LEGO. I would have returned this except Amazon sold this for $50 less than LEGO offers on their website.

Box was already open; missing a tire
Shipping was not 2 day as advertised. The box came clearly already opened, box was mangled, scotch taped closed. Only 3 tires included, no 4th. Amazon directed me to Lego customer service and was helped by a bot that said they would email me shortly. Still waiting for the email.Update: LEGO emailed and said they would send missing part. Thanks for making it right. Still feels like you’re selling used things at high prices.

Mostly Built
It’s a very cool set for thise who are car enthusiasts or motorsport fans. However, like almost every other set, there were A LOT OF MISSING PIECES. I bought a ferrari prior to this and that came with a large whole and of course… MISSING PIECES. just be weary of that, and like most items on here, you have to wait 1-2 weeks for a refund if you choose to return the set. You can also go to the lego website and look for the pieces in the set, and you can get those missing pieces replaced, but that takes minimum 1 1/2 weeks to process and arrive. kind of just shows up, didnt get any sort or alert after the ‘its been shipped’ alert. Maybe just unlucky but definitely a disappointing experience.

What a beast
BEFORE you go on about me building this on the floor I will inform you I had the sense of feeling like a child but still didn’t wanna loose any pieces, so I put it all on a little cloth 🙂 anyways this thing is so cool. I’d build it again if i could, although I will mention that this is not for the faint of heart as they don’t separate the pieces into different sections so you will have to look for pieces a lot when your building this starting off. So I would suggest laying it out as I did, but if your looking for a challenge then so be it. This took me a while to build, around a week with about an hour a day, and I’m still super happy it’s got turning and a working 6 cylinder boxer engine that WORKS. Would buy again

Opened Box but seller very helpful
Just wanted to share that I as well received a box that open and taped back up. Since Amazon is unreachable and the automated options only allow for “request refund” I reached out to the seller directly. He was very nice and surprised to hear this open box business. I told him I’m not the only one and to check out the comments. He’s open a case with Amazon. I decided to roll the dice and start assembly anyway. All the pieces are in sealed Lego bags. The seller assured me he and Amazon would make it right, plus I’m sure Lego will as well. On the product itself, it’s BIG lol but so far fun to build. I can’t wait to finish.

Great build – Quality, Challenging, Worth the $
I am relatively new to the Lego family (although my older son has been building sets for years and was a big influence on me to start building)…In my youth (68 yrs. old) I would spend hours upon hours of building, painting, etc. plastic models of all kinds of things…but cars models were my favorite..believing I was still good with my hands, I tackled this very detailed, Technic set…truth be told – (I had built the VW Bug – 1,167) prior to doing this build…What a blast! it definitely brought me back to my youth…the attention to detail is remarkable…steering works, pistons go up and down, etc. it was an approximately a 21 hour build (quarantined and doing it like a puzzle – passing it and doing a small sections at a time)…the build difficulty was on a 4-5 level…I have ordered the light package (through Brick Tool) and can’t wait until it comes to put a finishing touch on this build…the down side was the bags were not numbered – but I had purchased a puzzle board, so I could spread the pieces from the bags in piles, etc. I also anticipated doing a lot more big builds…Needless to say, I hooked and already on the “slippery slope” of Legos…no surprise here…I have 3 additional “big” builds on the way…

The finished product is awesome!!
Almost a 3 rating but at the end of the build the car just looks way too cool to rate a 3. The issue was with the bags. Normally separated by numbers according to how the model will be built. None of the bags were numbered. Pieces for one part of the model not in conjunction with the portion being built we’re mixed in with other parts of the car. Basically, be prepared to separate the pieces. It does require additional patience and time. But once separated and organized the building was pretty straightforward.

No numbered bags?!
I don’t normally write reviews for Legos I haven’t built yet but I just opened the box and was shocked to see that the $180 almost 1600 piece set didn’t come in numbered bags. Why do the $20 Lego Speed Champions sets with like 250 pieces come with numbered bags but this doesn’t? I have 14 other Technic builds and they all had numbered bags. I build these on my computer desk with fairly limited space so now it’s going to take forever because I’m going to have to separate 1600 pieces into different containers. It took 5 minutes to do the first step because I was searching for the 3 pieces I needed. LEGO has committed a war crime and I’m writing my Congressman about it.

Challenging, but worth the effort
Spent approximately 11.5 hours over a week putting this set together. Yes, the bags are not numbered, but once you get past the first 30 minutes of hunting and searching, you get an idea of which pieces are in which bags, and it is a lot easier from then on. The instructions are clear and pictures are detailed – there are several that are a little hard to decipher, but look closely enough and you and figure out where the pieces go. I was surprised that there weren’t that many extra pieces, given how many connectors (and types of connectors) there are, but the finished product is worth every second of searching, and every hour it takes to finish. Bought this directly from Amazon at a price lower than I see it listed for now, and it was definitely worth the cost as well. Added led lights (with one of the kits from brickloot), and it looks fantastic. Highly recommended.

Expensive but cool
One of the coolest lego sets you can get. Intricate 1500 piece set. Detailed manual. Downside is the manual changes the view angles of the car on you. You must keep your view of the car the same otherwise things can get confusing or placed wrong. Then by the time you figure it out, you have to go back some steps and start over. The price is quite high which I get but also don’t get. Lot of time went into engineering this lego set. But it is made of plastic, sooo. It could be debated that they are overcharging.I will warn you, the kit is not bagged in smaller stepped bags like other sets are. Just a few bags with a ton of pieces that are easily lost or sharked by the vacuum. Word of advice. Get some small Tupperware containers and seal the pieces up immediately upon opening. Otherwise you may find yourself missing some important pieces and not able to finish the car.

Great Build!
Christmas gift for my 13 year old son. I was worried because based on the reviews I knew the bags were not numbered. But that didn’t bother him a bit…he enjoyed that it made the build more challenging. He wasted no time putting the contents of each bag into individual Tupperware to keep them from getting lost and for easy storage when he wasn’t working on the build. It was his favorite gift this year.

Different style of Legos but still very fun to build!
This set was a little difficult just because I wasn’t used to building with this style Lego. After a few steps it started clicking real easy. You do have to organize the pieces because they don’t come seperated out. Which I didn’t mind because that’s how I grew up building. If you get upset they didn’t make it as easy as possible for you, go back to simple builds. It’s not for you. Also just bought the lights from brickloot for this! Looks sweet!

Not up to Lego’s standards – Who designed this?
First off, this is an odd Lego. Almost like an afterthought. Like others have said, it does not come in numbered bags and there is no rhyme or reason to how pieces are packaged. You will most likely adapt to this soon enough though. I opened bags as they had something I needed in them and dumped each in its own pile. There are a lot of stickers as well. Directions are also not as good as other Technics. They aren’t bad but seems like this was not done by regular Lego designers.Second, it’s a “blah” Technic. Meaning for a Technic, at this price, it should do more. All it does is the engine turns and the wheels are steerable. The Bugatti, while a lot more expensive, does a LOT more. This one the hood doesn’t even open. The differentials are sloppy as well. You can’t turn one and get the other one to turn in the opposite direction. It almost looks like they gave this to a junior designer. Either that or ended funding for it when it wasn’t done and told them “package what you have”.Overall this took me about 8 hours to build. And it was just “ok”. I’ll put it next to the Bugatti, of course. I bought the light kit, which I highly recommend.

Great set but the bags are not numbered
This is a great set but the only issue was the bags were not numbered so I had to open up all the bags and it took a long time to build. Some sections require parts from various bags so it makes it even harder. If you are determined to build, this is a beautiful set with great details and functions.

It Was Worth The Time And Money
This is a very big car once put together. The one setback is that the bags are not numbered. That means that the pieces need to be organized prior to building this Porsche otherwise it will be time consuming looking for parts. This is not an easy build. Prior experience in building Lego items will help alot. There are a couple of minor mistakes in the manual. It took a few days for me to assemble this car. There are over 50 stickers to place on the car. It really adds to the realism of this race car. The finished product looks awesome. The time invested was worth it. This is a huge 1/10th scale car. It is a showcase quality model. I look at it in my glass showcase every day. It was worth the time and money. That is why I am giving it 5 stars.

This Set is Awesome, but There’s Two Things I Hate
I’ve wanted this Lego set ever since it came out back in 2019. I never really had a chance to get it, especially since Lego raised the price recently from $150 to $180. During Prime day I saw a deal on it that brought it down to $126, which was an insane deal. So I immediately bought it. Now honestly since I wanted this set for so long I knew I would love it. The finished build looks amazing and looks really big for only being a retail $180 set. It has working steering, suspension, & pistons. Although the set looks amazing, the majority of what makes it look good is the stickers. A lot of stickers. I’m a pretty experienced Lego builder so these stickers weren’t too bad for me to put on, but for kids or inexperienced builders it’d probably be pretty hard to put on all these stickers. I think in total there’s 53 stickers in the set. The only other thing that bothered me besides the stickers was that there were literally no number bags. If you’ve built a bigger Lego set before, you know that each bag is numbered to make it easier to build. But for this set you literally just have to dump out all of the pieces and try to find the correct piece and it takes forever. I ended up having to sort my pieces to make the build easier on me. If the stickers aren’t a problem and you’re fine with the bags not being numbered I would definitely recommend this set, just not for $180. I would maybe consider it at $150 but if you can find a deal like I did, it’s well worth it.

Fantastic lego kit!!
I have had bad luck recently ordering some products through Amazon. So it is nice to write a positive review. This lego kit came very nicely packaged, no dents or tears on the actual lego box. The kit itself is just amazing!! My 8yr old son is building it and I am checking it as he goes along. Beautiful, fun and slightly frustrating
At 35, my boys are now playing with my childhood legos, so naturally ive gotten back into it again. The Saturn V was awesome and enjoyed building that. When lego came out with this Porsche RSR, one of the most amazing cars ive ever seen, I had to buy it. As you can see I did hang it in my office as art, though its taken down a ton to be played withThe Good: It looks awesome and has the Porsche look. I cant believe how big it is, when you are used to the smaller lego sets as a kid, having a 3 foot rocket and large car in your office they really stand out. For $150 bucks you get a ton. I actually like the stickers. Stickers are on race cars, so it just fine. When you actually look at the car on youtube, they did a great job in designing it.The bad: Like reviews said, its slightly flimsy. The wheels rock to much, the doors are loose. The wheels could be 1/4 inch large and it could sit lower. When I say bad, its not horrible, just could have been a little bit better. The Saturn V was in bags that had labels. This did not.The frustrating: I am a patient person, but man did this have a million steps with a million small pieces. There is no way to get around this, but just be ready to doing 500 small little connectors. This is a project, not an afternoon sitting.

Awesome
Everything about this was awesome. I was in recovery after my surgery and ordered 2 sets this being one of them and it was super fun. I spent days working on this kit and don’t regret any of it. Every small detail was thought of and added. There are so many little bonus finds while building this set I can’t get over it, I’d build another one in a heart beat. Fair warning, the bags aren’t labeled along with the steps, you need to search for each piece as you need it so highly recommend sorting all the pieces before starting.

The size and accuracy of this one is awesome but the build is quirky
The media could not be loaded.
This build was a bit of a love/hate relationship for me. I waffled between 3 and 4 stars for a long time but I’m settled at 4. Fair warning, if LEGOs addiction to stickers on builds is a pet peeve…there are 2 full sheets of them with this kit and they are on all the vital bits of the car including all the Porsche badging. I just went with it since most race cars have decals all over them. In THIS case, it seemed authentic to the build type.First, the consThe build has over 1500 pieces and a lot of them are tiny. That isn’t the con…the con is that the bags are not numbered and they do not seem to follow any logically pattern. What this means is, you will have to open ALL of them at the beginning of the build. Yes, you read that correctly. You’ll have all of these tiny pieces that will need sorting and storing as you build. As an adult with a hobby room, it wasn’t the end of the world. As a 10 year old kid…that’s a big ask in a lot of cases! I used zip sandwich bags and little plastic cups to sort the pieces into. I recommend the resealable bags to keep tiny bits safely stored in between build sessions! The second con was the instruction guide. I would highly recommend the digital version be used on a tablet. The book was difficult to decipher at times and I had to rely on my knowledge of hundreds of previous builds to decipher exactly what the picture was trying to convey. Depth and relationships to other pieces were oddly distorted. The downloadable guide was more true to color and could be manipulated for alternate views. The ProsThe build is remarkable accurate! I loved getting to build a 6 cylinder boxer engine. The models accurate depiction of the engine block and the intricate gear system that make the pistons move as you move and steer the vehicle brought out the gear head in me!It’s also a big build! The size of the completed car was a cool surprise. The lightweight frame was perfect and the front and rear detailing made the build. I loved the back wing and give LEGO huge marks for the interior details. It makes these Technic builds a cut above that the interiors that you’ll likely never see again once the roof goes on are as kitted out and accurate as the exterior body pieces.Overall, I landed at a 4 on this one. I would recommend this one to any petrol head or racing fan. My build tips would be the resealable bags for the parts and taking the time to do a proper sorting before you launch into the build. Trust me, that boring prep work will save your sanity in this one!
