Don’t expect high quality…
Keep your expectations managed! Air dry modeling clay like what’s in here (model magic, it feels like) is kinda hard to work with. But, it was hilarious to do. I wish the bones would’ve been sanded, because the clay did NOT stick to the bones very well at all, and you have to work the clay pretty quick or else it dries too fast – but this was good for a laugh over a couple of glasses of wine. Please enjoy the multi-eyed, biblically accurate Triceratops attached.

Great for 10yo boy!
My 10 year old son really enjoyed this. I bought more as gifts. Turns out really cute. He was able to do the dinos easily without frustration. A good amount of dinosaur models are included. The clay air dries once it’s set so you can have as keepsakes.

Fun activity for Dino lovers!
This kit comes with the skeletons of many different dinosaurs and the clay to cover them with skin, as well as googly eyes to complete the look. The clay has a light, almost foamy kind of texture which makes it less sticky, which is good, especially if the child wants to remove a part that was applied to redo it. My 2 grandsons really enjoyed this kit, and had a lot of fun making the dinosaurs look very unique by using more than one color! The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the clay wasn’t the easiest stuff to work with, and the eyes didn’t stick very well. We eventually used some glue to make them stay on, which is no big deal. Also, getting them to look like the ones on the box was impossible! As long as you realize it’s not going to be perfect, kids can have a lot of fun with this activity!

Clay doesn’t like to stick to bones
The modeling clay doesn’t stick to the bones very well, so they keep sliding off. It’s something that can be worked around, but it’s a bit frustrating for those using the kit as intended.

Good rainy day activity
Both a younger and slightly older 10 year old grandson happily teamed up to make these clay dinosaurs on a dark rainy afternoon. Was a nice hands on diversion from their electronics. Rated as 4 stars because the clay dried and flaked a little too quickly.

8 year old frustrated.
The kit is nice. It contains everything it is supposed to have. Our 8 year old only made one dino. She got frustrated because she could not make it look “good enough”. I don’t think it is a fault with the kit. So we have put it away for a while a will try again when she is a little bit older and we will give it another try. So I’ve rated the kit well, but for us the kit was not a big win.

Confused by the clay…
I loved the idea of this set, and wanted to do it on this rainy day with my son. Everything I read said the clay is super sticky, but the clay I got is like puffed and barely sticks to anything. I dunno if I got a defective kit but we’re gonna make the best of it and maybe I’ll buy real air dry clay so we can make them again the right way.

Great activity
This is a great idea. The kids age 3 and 6 were so proud of their handmade dinosaurs. Lots of eyes in the package so some dinosaurs had 10 or more eyes. Nice activity took about 20-30 minutes to get them made and then sit overnight to harden

Not the hit that I expected. My son (6) loves dinosaurs as well as art projects. The clay didn’t mold very easily around the bones. Maybe we weren’t the correct age but my father (79) did this one with him and was equally unimpressed.
