Great hands on activity
This is a fun thing that kids can do themselves or with very little help. The grasses grow VERY fast. You’ll have sprouts in 3 days and it’ll be busting out of the top in 6. We used a portion of the seeds so he can plant more later. We might throw some pill bugs in there once it’s a little more established.

Nice but missing pieces
This is a nice set with easy to follow directions but ours was unfortunately missing pices (river rock, succulent and a seed packet)and I see no way to contact seller. Very cool concept andwell ade otherwise

Fun
When the present was opened, it got a little shrug, but once the child put it together, the fun and excitement started. The gift recipient found it easy to set up and to maintain the watering as directed with the little pump bottle. The grass grew (and is still growing) within days and soon got so tall, it needed a trim. The child thought trimming the grass was great fun. A nice gift for the right age.

So Worth It
This is so worth it for the price. You not only get to build the habitat but it also comes with a book. This was so fun to make and looks great. We use it as a nightlight some nights and have plans to keep adding little items to it as we find them. This would make a great gift in my opinion!

This is a product perfect for kiddos who love dinosaurs and plants. They can easily assemble the science experiment and they’re on their way to growing greens. Pick your background, arrange your prehistoric lizard babies, and spritz with faucet water, you’ll see seed growth in a snap.The grass outgrew our terrarium within a week and now, three months later, our gift givee’s mom is THREE MONTHS into the daily responsibility of watering the plants to keep them alive.10/10. Great for the classroom and great for the children of your enemies.

It’s such an adorable gift, just a little smaller than I imagined. The seeds included sprouted quickly and were so enjoyable to share that experience of growing from seed with my 8 year old. After my sprouts were done we added a tiny succulent! It’s going on 3 months and it’s doing great (lol hence the need to clean the outsider of terrarium)I love an interactive gift that gets kids excited. We are currently using the terrarium to propagate more succulents! Super fun gift, I highly recommend

Fantastic Little Terrarium!
We bought this for our 7-year-old and it was an absolute hit! It comes with everything you’ll possibly need, including rocks, soil, chia and rye grass seeds, Dino minis, and a fossil. It even includes a little spray bottle. The directions are easy to follow and include a lot of extra info on the rocks, fossils, and plant growing process. The terrarium itself is plastic, but seems durable. The top plugs in via USB to light the terrarium at night. (If you don’t have a USB hub in your outlets you will need an adapter that allows it to plug into the wall.) I definitely recommend this product. It beat our expectations!

So fun!

My 7 year old got this for Christmas and it’s been a fun project to do together. Maybe more fun for me since I’m obsessed with plants lol.Instructions were easy to follow and within days the grass started growing. We did accidentally let it dry out too much once so it’s not as full as it probably could or should be and I also didn’t use all the seeds at first. I wanted to reserve some so we could learn from the mistakes we’d inevitably make….like letting it get too dry!

Great product!
This thing is so cool. Although you actually need sunlight in addition to the light that is on this product. This is the coolest littler terrarium. It gives you step by step instructions and everything you need. There are 2 kinds of seed packets and plenty to do a couple rounds. You do need to trip as the plant grows but it’s a great learning experience. My son loves it!

A great gift for a six year old!
My grandson loved this gift. He likes dinosaurs, plants and the excitement of arranging everything the way he wants them. I was a little worried at first because it was smaller than I thought but he loved it and the size didn’t matter to him. His own little project. He , with a little help from mom, put it together and he couldn’t wait to put it on his dresser so he can look at it often and see the progress with the growth of the plants. Wonderful gift! It grew!!
Super cool gift for my 9 yr old who loves dinosaurs and Jurassic World everything. He put this together completely by himself. Within just a few days the seeds started sprouting! Easiest thing ever. Really satisfying for a kid. The little dinosaurs in the jungle look is really fun and he loves it. It’s been about a month and the plants are still alive.

Creative, fun activity with the nephew!
Finally, a perfect birthday present for the nephew that we can have fun doing together without any screens involved! My nephew turned 5 and I always try to find something educational, no screens involved, and hands on that he would have fun with. He came over to my house and we built his terrarium together. It is so stinking cute and even has dinosaur figurines to add into the terrarium, which he extra appreciates as a fellow Dino lover!With the energy of a 5 year old, we were able to put this together in about an hour considering the time to let the dirt expand in the water. I can’t wait to hear about how his plants grow in his terrarium as the days go by. The seeds are chia and another easy to grow grass similar plant so guaranteed to see the plants grow. Imagine a chia pet concept level of ease! This comes with a light and everything you need, even a little mist bottle to water the plants. Just have to plug it in!He loves to get his hands in the dirt and I love teaching him about plants and hope to inspire him to be a future plant parent when he is older to match his auntie’s vibes. 🙂

Comes with everything you need!
I bought this for my niece as a Christmas present. I asked her mom to let me know how she liked it. This is what she said. It was easy to put together, she did everything herself. She loved putting it together! I would say it is good quality, and so nice that it comes with everything you need, even a spray bottle. The light makes it look so good! Everyday she would check to see how much the grass grew in the terrarium. She planted some sedum plants in it after the grass died and it is in our livingroom window. Great size for a starter kit. I would buy again and may get one for my son. Definitely worth the money.

Great activity for kids!!
I haven’t written a review before but this was such a great product I felt I had to. Got it for my grandson for a project when he stayed with us. We did it the first day hoping to see some of the grass grow. The pictures above are 4 days after we planted things. He has loved going to check on the progress each morning and water it. It came with everything you need and I added 2 succulents we had at home. It was easy for him to follow the directions and put things together with a little help. Definitely worth purchasing for a Dino loving kid!

So much fun and educational
I was looking for a fun activity with my 3 year old nephew currently obsessed with dinosaurs. We had a memorable time creating this terrarium together. He did add a lot more dinosaurs from his own collection, and loved waking up every morning to see the seeds growing. They grew fast!Note: every 3 year old is different, use best judgment when making this purchase for a child younger than the suggested age.

Really fun birthday gift for dino fans
This terrarium is great and fun birthday gift for dino fans like my son. He is 5 and loved setting it up with some help, he kept saying this is Jurassic park in a tank. He wasn’t too crazy with the dinosaur toys it came with, so he added a few of his own. The sprout seeds grew really fast and it was so fun to watch it grow and take over. Additionally, it is a fun nightlight, too. Definitely recommend it.

This was such a hit with my five year old grandson!He loves dinosaurs, fossils, rocks. the seeds grew fast and the little spray bottle was fun for him. I also helped to water the seeds well. The grass grew tall fast. Great way to spend together putting the layers of the terrarium and watching it grow. The light was also a favorite feature for him. Great birthday present! National Geographic dinosaur light up
The Lighting is on point, nice size for kids, and it is very entertaining. As they play they are able to learn and enjoy learning. This I gave to my grandson who is 5 and though he may not understand a lot of huge terminology he can still learn as he plays and will stay in his memory.
