Cute but work.
My 5 year old granddaughter loves this. But warning…this takes an adult or older child’s help to do it for a 5 year old. If you’re looking for something to keep your child busy on her own, this isn’t it. It is pretty involved and it took quite a long time to do all the ponies. If you want something to spend time with your toddler, this is great!

Lots of fun but a sometimes fiddly
I should start by saying this is super solid and my 5 year old loved it! Honestly, so did my 7,9, and 11 year olds! If you look over the description it is exactly what it advertises. We had fun making ponies! If you’re expecting your little ponies to look just like the package you’ll be a bit disappointed. Making those eyes is really hard… and sometimes you’ll end up with ponies with eyes smeared across their faces or in the wrong place. It was way too difficult for my 5 year old. Making the actual pony and hair she was able to figure out. Also, make sure you understand that it does not have enough colors to make all the mane 6 so you’ll have to buy more if you want to make apple jack or flutters. In conclusion: worth the money, my kids had a blast, it’s exactly what it says it is if you read it carefully. But know some parts are tricky and it doesn’t have enough playdough for some.

Great Reusable Craft
My daughters (3 & 13) play with this together all the time. It’s challenging to find an interactive toy/activity both of my girls can enjoy. I have even made a few Nightmare Moons and Fluttershys myself. 😂 I was worried that my toddler would be able to use the molds when we unboxed, but she picked up on it within a few “sessions” and now she can make them as well as my teen. They provide a few small containers of play dough. I would get a couple of the larger containers, because it only made 2 ponies and we had to wait until we got more play dough to use them all which was disappointing for my girls, but I should have read more carefully and had the play dough waiting. So that was my fault.Otherwise, really great toy with endless pony-making possibilities.

Well Worth The Price I Paid For This, It Got My 7 Year Old Back Into Playdough and Kids Can Make Up Their Own Ponys!
First I have to say how cute this was for the price. My daughter is 7 and this was a present in her Easter Basket, it was one of the first things she wanted to open and was very excited to try it. She made 2 ponies her first time and I have to say it was a little difficult to get them to turn out like the box pics (if they ever do). I was so surprised to find MLP playdough and never see anything like this were we live. I think its a great gift for any MLP Lover and has lots of options for changing hair, cutie marks, tails, eye color etc. My daughter knew how everything worked immediately (faster than me) and the only suggestion I have is to have a few large cans of dough ready to use which makes filling the mold easier. First fill in the eye area with the colors you want to use THEN You fill each side of the mold with dough and next put the base figurine inside, close it and squeeze but getting it back out in one piece is a little tricky and younger kids will need help. Under each figurine base are the cutie mark molds. The white tube you see in the picture is for manes and tails. I gave 4 stars because of the trickiness of getting the finished pony out of the mold in perfect condition but other than that it has lots of possibilities.

Not what I expected!
Still very cute, but even in the directions it says to put the small horse model inside the bigger mold. Well there is only 4 of these types of interior molds so how do u get the exterior play for off of the hollow interior model? Idk we just ended up destroying them and making more but have to keep buying more playdoe. Oh well

It’s “the best present ever”
My daughter was so thrilled with this set. She exclaimed that it was the best present ever. Win for me! However, I could be slightly OCD, they specially want you to mix colors on everything, to include the playdoh squeezer. That’s a big N-O. Also the playdoh gets stuck in those overlooked crevices on the squeezer, either left there because they thought it added something or because they figured it cost too much money to just make them solid and unable to be filled with playdoh, a tooth pick is too large for the spots. Yay for dried playdoh getting mixed in with soft playdoh… overall, my daughter was happy and didn’t notice this issue as she was busy stamping the strands of playdoh she oozed out of the squeezer.

Fun for hours.
Bought this for my 5 year old daughter who’s a bit of a my little pony fanatic. She loved it. She was anxiously awaiting it before it came and after it came she played with it for 3 hours straight making ponies. Her only complaint was that it was missing yellow (to make fluttershy). Otherwise it’s a great product. Just read the instructions to figure out how to make the ponies. It’s a little tricky to make all the ponies but it’s definitely fun to try. Their is a little press to make manes/tails and a disc that has all their cutie marks and on the other side it has the ponies companions/friends to make. Just start by filling in the color you want for the eyes, put in the playdoh for the body, put in the inner mold for the pony you want to make, and SMUSH… you’ve got the pony! Then you just put on the mane/tail/cutiemark/accessories and you’re done!

Fun set, not enough play-doh to make all of the ponies
My 3 year old LOVED this play-doh set. The only negative is the fact that they really skimp on the amount of play-doh that comes with the set. Although you get 4 pony “skeletons” needed to create them, you can only in reality make 2 (maybe 3) of the ponies with what they give you and there isn’t enough white to actually make the Rarity My Little Pony and there isn’t enough Orange to actually make the Apple Jack My Little Pony. Most young kiddos probably won’t care about the accuracy of the pony’s colors, but mine did. I’d recommend that you purchase more white, orange, blue and purple with this set if you want to have enough to actually make all of the ponies. I wish they just have you the play-doh you actually need and charge a little more for the set.

If the love my little pony, this is a much have.
My daughter is obsessed with my little pony. I have literally down the full run of the series with her more the 10 times. She loves play dough too and this is one of her favorite kits now. Tons of designs and cutie marks can make one of each: pony, unicorn, Pegasus, and an alicorn. My only complaint is the mane and tale accessory doesn’t blend the colors well. Otherwise I still highly recommend.

Cute
We love playdoh. It has bright pretty colors and lots of them. The mold is a little harder for my 4 year old to do on her own. She needs some help molding a pony but once it’s made she loves adding the accessories to it.

Fun to make
My daughter loves my little pony and has had a blast with this. It’s pretty easy to make the mold for them and the tools that come with make it fun to do together as each can be making a different part. The only thing is the play doh that comes with it isn’t really enough to do anything. There’s not enough of a single color to fill the mold and make a pony so you end up having to mix colors right off the bat. My daughter hasn’t cared though so it’s not that big of a deal.

Perfect Ponies!!
I ordered this for my 3.5 year old. I vacillated between buying this now and waiting until her 4th birthday. I’m really glad I decided to do it!My concern was that the molds/process of assembling the ponies involved too many steps. With the first pony we made (Pinkie Pie) I did most of the work, showing her how the molds operate as we went along. The process involves choosing eye colors and placing them in the shell, filling the body color, and inserting the body form mold into the shell. You then close it, cut off any overspill, and open it up. It came out great! The body form molds indicate which ponies you can make on the bottoms by cutie marks. The cutie marks double as cutie mark molds. We made manes and tails with the tool that sort of “spaghetti-izes” the Play-Doh. My *only* complaint is that these type of “injector” dough tools are notoriously difficult to clean. This was a great choice, even for such a young child. I highly suggest it if you have a MLP fan in your life!!

About what you’d expect for the price
And by that, I mean it performs as a $10 or so toy. Nothing fancy. I bought it for my 4 year old. She has really enjoyed it but also gets frustrated at times with the molding components because they are just cheap plastic. But it has kept her busy when she rant gets it it so while cheap, it has been a decent buy.

Cute Set – Mostly Fun
My daughter enjoyed making the ponies but was slightly disappointed in the fiddliness and that you couldn’t make what was represented in the box. There was not enough doh to make an Apple Jack pony, and once the doh was used, it was impossible to get it apart to make additional ponies. The hair extruder was hard to use. It was a good value for the price, though, and I would rebuy it. I’d buy some additional doh to make this work really well.

Fun, Easy to Use & Maintain
An excellent gift for a 5-year-old. Of all the bday gifts this one has been played with most. The tools are easy to use after initial instructions allowing for self-guided play. Makes up to 4 ponies at a time. Ponies stand up as advertised. The bottom of each pony stand has 2 different stamps. Cutie mark mold palette has 14 different shapes (7 on each side). As a parent that dislikes play-doh, thankfully this set doesn’t have tons of hard to reach crevices where play-doh can get stuck. The hair tool can be easily separated to clean out excess using the provided knife/sculpt tool. 5 star value especially at the Amazon deal purchase price of $7.99+tax.

Great set
I think this is one of the best play dough sets because you can create an actual toy to play with when you build a pony and then let it dry. It’s not just play dough that you use once then put it back in the box and let it get all dry a few months later. I did have to help my niece (5) a bit, so this is a set that might need some supervision but she was thrilled and love it.

This is not for children! Too much work, too hard, not enough to use – even for an adult!
This says ages 3+ so I got it for my daughter 5 year birthday. We just did this today. I did all of the work and boy, was it nothing but frustration! Not enough white dough for Rarity, the first one we made or tried to make. Then we tried Twilight Sparkle, and the details of the cutie marks and hair styles require so much patience and play dough use so that the colors don’t “mix” forever…For one, you can only make one pony at a time. So I can see this working if you know that and have plenty of your own dough to begin with. But it requires a LOT of PATIENCE and TIME!!To make the eyes, cutie marks, extras, it’s just insane how small the amounts needed are to create the colors, and of course the colors will be touching. Putting this away was a nightmare of cutting out each color to put away when we were done bc my 5yo couldn’t sit still long enough to help with the second pony attempt.I mean, I get it. If a grown adult with patience wants to make this, it can be done. But with the tools given here and the limited colors, well, you won’t see any 3 yo children making any ponies like the pictures! That’s for sure! There’s no brown for Applejack’s hat. So yes, this requires extra playdough! It requires a lot of adult supervision!!I would not expect any child to do this under maybe the age of 10.It’s a horrible idea and I regret buying this for my advanced and patient 5 year old. I can see it being a nightmare to clean up. The hair styling tool just is messy and so is the pony skin maker. Lots of dough everywhere sticking in the cracks. So parents, do know ahead of time that if you get this for your children who are 3-10, you will be doing all of the work. I can see maybe ages 8-10 helping, but will also require assistance.I wish I could return this. It is just not easy to do. And I wanted her to have a gift she could play with and use herself. Not with mommy having to do all the hard work (cutie marks, eye colors, etc. Cleaning up and color separation too).Totally regret this purchase!! Probably too late to return.

My almost 4yo LOVES Play-Doh & this set did not disappoint!! Large color variety with a really unique set of molds that are easy for little hands🩷 I originally bought this to take on our beach vacation as a potential rainy day activity. Since we did not have any rain… she had a new toy when we returned home & has been playing with it every day. Love the way different Play-Doh sets can all come together to foster imagination!

Very cute & fun
My 7 yr old loves this! Everything is easy to use & clean. The worst thing would be the playdoh sticks together when you do the different colored eyes with a different color for the body and the thing that makes the “tails” is hard to clean & hard to pack full of playdoh to get the best looking tails. Some good things are there’s so many different shapes you can do! We added her other playdoh to the ones this one came with which made it a lot better & we could create more! Very happy & pleased with purchase!!

Best purchase ever, hope it’s not discontinued
I bought this for my nieces fifth birthday last summer and she loved it. The hours we have spent making play doh ponies! Shes been back to wanting to play with it every single day and I decided I was going to buy another kit, because the one downside is it only comes with four pony bases and she wants to make more than four. I planned on ordering it for Easter and was surprised to see that it is not in stock and has no date for a restock. This makes me worried that it’s been discontinued and I really really hope it’s not. Out of the countless toys my niece has, this has been one she has focused the most on, she will sit and focus on making play doh ponies for hours and I see a lot of other reviews saying the same thing with their kid.

Soooooo cute
This is the cutest Play Doh set I’ve seen! My daughter received a gift card for her birthday and used it to make this purchase. It has a ton of different Play Doh colors with it and the ponies have molds on their feet that make rainbows, stars, etc. My absolute only complaint is the pony mold. It is very difficult to get the Play Doh pony out of the mold without breaking its head off or warping it. It is also difficult to get both sides of the mold to make the facial features of the pony at the same time, but all-in-all I would definitely purchase this again.

Ponies are difficult for an adult to make!
My girls LOVE both play doh and My Little Pony, so I thought this would be a win-win, but it wasn’t exactly. The girls do love it, but making the ponies is my job because it’s too hard for them to do it themselves. And I get frustrated with it because it’s not exactly easy, and even when I take my time and try to get it right, It still doesn’t look anywhere as pretty as the ponies they show on the box. Even something little like trying to get the cutie mark made and stuck on the pony is an ordeal. When you take the little peice out of the cutie mark mold, it smushes out of shape and then pressing it onto the pony’s hind quarter further smushes it into something completely unrecognizable. Despite these flaws, the girls do enjoy it. They also even like playing with the little 1D pony stands (that get placed in the middle of the mold) without the play doh.My suggestion…give it as a gift. Kids will love it, but then you won’t have to deal with it 🙂

I love MLP Playdoh
I bought this for my almost four-year-old it was a gift for her Easter basket. It was a little tough for her to make the ponies using the molds but she liked using the stampers and enjoyed decorating the ponies once they were made. It includes 6 small playdoh tubs which are good for the details but you’ll need more Playdoh especially for the mane and tail. My daughter wanted applejack but yellow isn’t included so make sure to have the right color for the desired pony if your child is super specific (mine is) :DThe extruder is different because it is divided into to parts so you can add two different colors to make the mane and tail and I think it looks cuter that way. Plus you can remove the tip of the extruder which helps to clean it when done playing. My 9 year old neice loves it too and is able to make the ponies all by herself. My ponies aren’t as perfect and the ponies pictured on the box though. 🙁 I can see the “seam” where the mold is pressed together. I may just need practice. But overall loads of fun.
