LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
I am a Samsung person and always will be! All my electronics and appliances are Samsung. BARELY have any issue’s. So why wouldn’t I buy another Samsung product?! This TV has great picture and sound!!! It is huge!!! The software is easy to navigate. The quality is pristine! It’s adjustable!! The remote control can be charged via USB or thru the solar panel on the back!!! Definitely worth every penny!!!! Great price too!!!

Love this TV
I had to replace my 2019 Samsung because it got fried from a lighting strike. I am not a high tech person but I do like a quality TV. This one was a good price, and has all the features I needed. The remote ease / difficultly of use has been mentioned, but I don’t think it’s bad at all. My old Samsung remote works with the new tv, so that’s a bonus.Picture quality and color is fantastic for the price point.Sound is great. I didn’t use a sound bar with my last TV and this one also doesn’t need it.It was super easy to set up. Yes, you do have to create a Samsung account, but that only took a second. The TV walks you through all the set up steps, and apps are logged in to with QR codes.WiFi set up took seconds. My husband and I had this on the wall and set up in 20 minutes. This is a great TV

Easy to set up! Well packed to prevent damage.
The 75 inch TV arrived on schedule and was easy to set up on the legs. I would strongly urge reading the unpacking instructions provided on the outside of the box, makes life so much more simple. You’re going to need at least 3 people to unpack and set up. I used the legs that came with the tv but may mount on the wall in the future. You’re going to need two people to hold the tv (it’s pretty heavy) and the third will need to slide the legs into the slots on the back. I hadn’t realized that there are little white clips in the leg that, when extended, raise the tv up about 2 inches higher (for extra clearance, like the sound bar I bought to go with it). One clip in the legs was up and the other was down and it took a few tries to figure out why my tv was sitting at an angle, but after a quick second glance at the instructions I realized my error and fixed it. You will have to apply some blunt force to the legs to get them all the way in to the slots. This tv has a ton of features, I would suggest looking up videos and articles to figure them all out. I am a former ROKU user so I was hesitant and went ahead and bought a ROKU ultra to plug into this, but after getting used to the layout and navigation of this tv I’ll likely be returning the ROKU. This has all the main streaming channels I used to watch on my ROKU, I just had to get used to the new layout. Picture is very nice, I’m no expert but for the price, you’re going to get an amazing picture (I did have to lower the brightness from 50 to 25, not sure if that’s the default but it was a bit too bright at first). The rechargeable remote (same as charging a phone) is great, even has a small solar panel on the back to recharge when you aren’t using it (though you’ll have to put the remote face down). The remote has a mic on it and once I installed Alexa on it it works like a charm. I just tell the remote what I want to watch and BAM!, it goes right to it! Worth the money, worth the time, very happy customer.

Beautiful quality but has app performance issues sometimes
Perfect delivery and the size is unbelievable. A bit heavy so I’m lucky I workout and was able to set it up on my own. Great sound, beautiful quality and imagery. Only thing I will say is the apps can be glitchy and slow. I bought a YouTube movie yesterday and it glitched and was having a hard time loading about 4-6x through the movie which was a bit annoying. If you aren’t tech savvy the remote and in-phone remote system might be difficult to understand and use but you’ll get the hang of it. I recommend this for the price. $700-ish after taxes and free delivery is a steal. Hopefully the glitchy stuff resolves a bit

It’s more TV than what I need, but I like it.
I’m upgrading from a 2019 Philips 65” 4K TV. Only because the Philips wouldn’t restart after a power surge.Every other thing did. (Yes I do use surge protectors)This Samsung is the first TV I’ve bought since 2020. I didn’t realize the advances in technology and looks. It’s also the first Samsung I’ve owned, ever. I’ve only had it for about 36 hours as of now, but it’s becoming more easy to use and navigate the menu. I’m not completely familiar with it yet, though. The only complaint I have, and this may sound crazy to some, is that the picture may be TOO CLEAR.It has what is described in some YouTube videos as the “soap opera effect”. Watching some movies on Dish Network and BluRay, it seems as if the viewer is watching the characters live instead of in a movie. The picture can be adjusted to different settings, to reduce this effect, that are more to the viewer’s preference. And there are many “micro adjustments” that can be made, appropriately enough called “expert settings”. I’m no expert though.I don’t regret the purchase at all. But, if I’d watched those videos before buying, I might have chosen to buy another model Samsung. Or maybe even a different brand. Mostly because I learned that Samsung doesn’t support Dolby Vision or Sound. I have my 7.1 surround system for sound anyway, so that’s not a problem for me. Anyone who is dependent on the TVs sound capability, should be aware of the fact that Samsung and Dolby Vision don’t play together.I’ll get used to this new TV soon. But I should have done more research before buying it. I guess 5 years is a very long time to jump in TV technology nowadays. One more thing about Samsung that surprised me is that they don’t supply the mounting screws for their TVs. I had to order some separately from Amazon. The ones I found are the right thread size, but (when using included spacers) are at least 1/4” too long, maybe 5/16”. I learned elsewhere that the recommended thread depth is 11-13mm. A person can either use more spacers or cut them off at the right thread length. This is a positive review. I know that I bought a great TV at a good price (approx. $640). I’m just going to have to get used to all the new technology it has. And the super clear picture will take me time to get used to for sure. Even though my 2019 Philips was a 4K TV as well, it was nowhere near as clear as this 2024 Samsung.

Unreliable Picture Quality & Frozen Apps
We love our other 3 Samsung TVs, but this model is not the same quality. The picture color is great when the room is dark, but when the shades are open it gets washed out and so bright it loses detail. It’s made playing some video games less enjoyable. The screen interface is maddening! I really like that the most recent app shows up at the top – that’s a plus! But frequently-used apps like Netflix and Max freeze frequently, and we have yet to find a reliable way to close or restart them. The interface is different from the other TVs and requires a lot more clicking with the remote to get to where you need to go. The separate “For You” “Live” and “Apps” views on the main screens put their suggestions first, not the views you use most. If this page is “for me,” why not suggest channels or shows I’ve actually ever watched? Or at least something similar? The search function has a few annoying features, too. It’s not clear where the space bar is (it’s actually the part of the screen that says “English”/the language you have chosen), and an extra delete button shows up if you linger on a letter more than a second or two, making it difficult to click on the letter below.None of these is a dealbreaker on its own, but they add up to a really annoying experience where we spend more time fiddling with the remote than watching a show.

Slideshow viewer is as bad as most TVs
Why oh why can’t someone in those TV companies write a decent slideshow viewer? For example, one that will fill the screen and allow it to be there for more than a few seconds. They add insult to injury by writing all the bits needed to have a halfway decent product, but then fail to join them together. For example. On a given photo, you can zoom in to fill the screen. Great. But you cannot run the slideshow that way. Why on earth not? I would like the whole screen to have color, not ugly black bars all the time. One you zoom in you are stuck on that photo. And worse, it won’t stay that way. After a minute or so, it goes back to the non-zoomed (black bars) version. So you gloriously colorful picture perfect image is gone. Why? Doing nothing here (to change it back) would have been better. Just delete the code that does that, it is nothing but annoying. So I will have to invest in some other way of doing something that a trivial amount of s/w could have easily done had anyone actually thought about it, or had any knowledge of what a slideshow should look like.

My First “Smart TV”
I’ve had a couple 42-inch HDTVs for a long time, one Sony and one Hitachi. When it came time to finally upgrade to a newer, bigger, higher definition TV, I chose this Samsung 50-inch 4K Smart TV, based mainly on my regard for this manufacturer (owning both a Samsung cell phone and a Samsung tablet) and its very reasonable price. Being my first “Smart TV,” I have to confess that its capabilities are amazing. However, I also found it very complex to set up and integrate into my existing equipment (Pioneer receiver, Sony 5.1 home theater sound system, Sony Blu-ray player). To put it bluntly, it is not a simple plug-n-play device. It took me most of two days to get all the components integrated and functioning to their full capabilities. It would take way too much space here to detail all the individual hurdles I had to overcome. One thing that was absolutely helpful was to go onto Samsung’s website and download the user manuals for both the TV and the remote control. After all was said and done, however, I have to admit that I love this TV, its performance, and the new home theater experience.

I was able to set it up easily using my cell phone
I was surprised at how easy it was to set up via my cell phone. I followed all the instructions and the TV was up and running within minutes of plugging it in. The only thing that could have made it go faster is if I had not read the instructions and knew what to do already. It was time to upgrade and this Samsung was a really good choice both financially and quality. I purchased the protection plan and still felt content. It is also Xbox ready. I have not hooked up the xbox yet but will someday.

Impressive
Overall I’m really happy with this tv. I had been using a Sony for the last 10 years that had developed a black blob. Before that I had owned Samsungs, and I’m glad to own one again. Mostly using it with my Apple TV 4k, and the picture quality seems best when playing movies rented or purchased through Apple. Netflix, Max, Amazon, Youtube, and all the other apps still have a great picture, but it seems like there’s a noticeable improvement when playing back purchased/rented content.

PS5 Issues ; EDIT: RESOLVED
Edit/update: Not too long after posting the review, there was a software update that seemed to have fixed the issue entirely. Haven’t had an issues for over a month now. With that considered, everything is great! The TV itself is great, except for the fact that they removed the “Ambient Mode” for this model for whatever reason. The colors are good, the audio is great, easy to set up, etc. However, if you plan to use it for a PS5, I’d highly recommend a different TV.I first bought the TV from Amazon and it worked fine for about 3 weeks, until one day I switched to the PS5 and noticed the brightness was lower the colors weren’t nearly as vibrant or contrasting (almost like there’s a “grey filter” over the screen), and most importantly there’s a slight flickering/pulsing effect noticeable on images on-screen.Switching back to the YouTube and Netflix app on the TV itself, everything was normal and working fine, but for some reason the PS5 had these issues. I swapped HDMI cables – no luck. I plugged in the PS5 to my monitor and it worked just fine. Then I turned off “Game Mode” and that seemed to at least fix the flickering/pulsing issue, and the brightness/lack of contrast was only slightly resolved; it should be noted that without “Game Mode” your controller inputs are now delayed noticeably.I returned the TV assuming that I might have just received a bad unit, however upon the purchase of a new one from Best Buy, I ran into the issues not even a week later. A factory reset fixed this issue, but of course that entails going through the whole setup process again and having to sign in to all of your accounts for whichever services you use.TLDR: As a basic TV for watching shows and using apps, it works great. However, if you plan to use this TV for a PS5 (maybe even an Xbox), don’t; it will randomly sprout noticeable visual issues that can only be resolved through a factory-reset.

Voice Control
I was disappointed when I received my 75″DU8000 and discovered that Alexa was not built in as advertised when I made my purchase during Prime Day. This is a 2024 manufactured tv and it was quite shocking for me to discover that there was no Alexa. I felt as though I was duped and I trust that this review will influence some action on the seller’s behalf to appease me.

So far very happy with this TV
The 65” Samsung TV arrived on time and in great condition. Setting up the TV was pretty easy. The picture is great. Hooking up the sound bar was simple. Having Alexa built in the tv is neat but you can save money by choosing the same model without it. Easy to go to settings and customize the picture to your view. Remote control is very small and can be a challenge to see for older folks like me but the more I use it the easier it gets. This is a great tv for the price, great picture, contrast, depth, brightness. I would definitely recommend it!

Quality for the price
We work with electronics circuit boards that require to go through hundreds of pages of schematics and board lay out and also make videos just for record or educational purpose that I bought the TV to use as a monitor. The TV is super slim, high quality picture (not in eco mode) and nothing to complaint about it nor brag since using as a monitor.Don’t spend too much money for the monitors with high refresh rates or what so ever. This is a great deal with 4 HDMI ports and USB port. The remote is very slick and only thing I am not so happy is switching inputs between the microscope camera, monitor and second camera input. I am still getting used to the remote or it is the only way not so sure that I have to go back to the home screen just to switch the input method.Other than that it is a great TV that will not hurt your budget like we used to pay $2K for 46 1080p LCD TV.Update: After a few days (5 days) of playing with the remote, I decided to buy a universal remote that has the fast return button to switch between the input sources. With the other Samsung remote, I feel a lot better with switching sources with simply click than press home, the navigate to the connected devices and choose the source then the TV was still trying to take control with detecting device circle just gone with one click of return arrow. The TV being too smart is not a good idea.

Bluetooth is Nice!
50-inch Samsung. This is my first Samsung TV. I brought it only because I wanted a Bluetooth tv so I could seamlessly pair with my ear buds, many of my clients recommended Samsung. I Love the Bluetooth feature! What I did not love is after owning Roku tv’s This was and still is a learning curve even for a techie like me, 🙂 . I love to be challenged so I may update my review after I know everything about it. Like a previous review ” Pack your Patience ” of you are upgrading to a non-Roku tv.

Needs a user manual
Very clear picture and sound is good. The smart part has to go through a painful start up every time I turn it on. I am not used to all the available goodies that have been recently created. We turn on the tv in the late afternoon and wait for all the goodies to go away and never know if we hit the right button. There is limited info on usage with satellite tv and it doesn’t seem to be an option. We finally got it and do enjoy the picture quality.

Great Samsung TV- Get this model, more bang for your buck
This is my third Samsung TV. I bought my last one in 2019 and the only reason I replaced it is because it didn’t have the built in digital tuner to get antenna TV channels which is what I mostly watch. Now I get too many channels for free but what is not to like about that? This model has a beautiful and clear picture without changing any settings. I dislike the new style remote but it still works just fine with the previous model push button remote that you can purchase here on Amazon if you need a spare. There are numerous great features, nothing to complain about here. You can’t go wrong with this model in my opinion.I gave the old model to my son, btw, both are 55″ screen size. He will likely get another good five years out of that one. That is real value.

Nice picture but really low quality speakers. Can’t believe a big name used such low quality speakers. The ‘solar’ remote control is junk. Way too small and functionality suffers because of the closeness and multi-use of the same buttons.

Great TV But Beware of In Home Delivery
The TV is great and very easy to set up. I do have an issue with the Amazon in home delivery service. They schedule the delivery from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm but they don’t narrow that window at all the day of delivery like most delivery services do. So, I was stuck at home until 5:00 pm when the TV arrived. The delivery team was great but I just think the scheduling could be better.

Our previous tv went out after only having it for 3 years. It wasn’t a Samsung so lesson learned. We went bigger than the previous smart tv. My hubby who has trouble seeing can see this one perfectly. The picture is so clear and bright. You do need two people to put this up, even on a stand like we chose to. It’s quite heavy. It’s super easy to program and set up. The only complaint I have is the remote. Who ever had the bright idea to put the mute button with the volume must have been smoking something because it’s so annoying. When you try to turn up the volume, if you don’t tap it just right it mutes it. With the exception of that, we are extremely happy with this tv.

I was hooking the TV up to a new Surround receiver and it should have been helpful to have a clear diagram of the locations of the various inputs. Very pleased with its performance and eventually i got it working flawlessly with my new Yamaha surround receiver, once i figured it all out.

Nice Picture
The TV is pretty good for the price. Changing the Channels with the remote control are quicker than the average TV.The setup takes a while to get used to compared to my other Samsung TV’s

A week in, so far I’m loving it.
Not much else to say. I’m so glad I went with this 85 inch TV. It’s been amazing and lived watching the Oregon Ducks on it.

Nice TV
I have this for about 6 weeks now and I am 90% pleased with this purchase. My only complaint is that the speakers lack much in the way of bass outputcompared to my last Samsung 50″. We’re seriously considering getting a soundbar.

Love the high quality picture. Football games make you feel like you are there! Took little time to figure out how to use the smart tv at first for I have always used just cable, but think I’m finally learning !!
