I AM IMPRESSED
The product arrived well packaged. There was a delivery delay but it was not horrendous and to be expected given that it was ordered during Parime Days,The headphones arrived almost fully charged, Set up was relatively easy, but you really do need to use their app to complete the set up process. The app also allows you to change some settings and select equalizer settings that work for you.The switches have a nice feel to them. They do have raised areas designed to help you find the correct switch by feel. There are times however when I find that it is easier to adjust the volume using the phone or I remove the headphone to make a change. This is a very subjective items so you may not have the same issue. No stars were deducted for that reason. These are an on ear device. It was not uncomfortable to me, but it did take some getting used to and here again…Personal preference comes into play. On a warm and humid day you may experience some sweating where the ear cup rides on your ear. That may allow for some movement / shifting of the headphone depending on what you are doing. They may thus not work out well for use doing exercising as an example. The sound quality is great at this price point. I have Bose ear buds. The sound from this device is not Bose quality and you should not expect it to be Bose quality. It is good to very good however. The equalizer settings allow you to control all five typical equalizer settings PLUS a separate adjustment for th4 bass.Paring was easy and fast. The connection remains stable most of the time. There is a selection that allows you to select either top quality sound or a more stable connection. I chose sound quality an the vast majority of the time the connection was stable with no noise present. There may be times however, that due to local conditions / interference you may have a little popping or very brief drop out. I have worn these headphones a LOT since they arrived and while I have experienced that, it was very limited. Now I also have a lot of electric / electronic devices in use on my property and that will may explain what I experienced. I did have some interference from some household devices when I wass very close to them. The battery life seems to be very good. I have worn m for several hours and the voice system still indicates 100% at startup. Unlike my Bose products the battery monitoring system is not linear where it will call out 100%, 90%, 80%b etc… It may call out 100% until the battery hits 50% (As an example) and then te voice system will drop from stating 100% to 50%. I do not see that as an issue or negative given the very long stated by the manufacturer battery life, and I have no disagreement with their claims about battery life aty this point in time,So again…Thus far I am very pleased with the fit, quality, and sound quality of these headphones. Do bed aware that tey are NOT noise cancelling. There will be some outside noise reduction dur to the ear cups of course.

Fantastic product for the price
I purchased this product to use for my work-at-home setup. I absolutely LOVE them. First, the headset is very comfortable. Second, a full charge lasts quite a while. That being said, I’m not on the phone all day, every day, so that may make a difference. I conduct training and attend meetings daily and a full charge has lasted me just over 2 weeks. (You just need to make sure you shut them off at the end of your shift every day.) 😁 Third, the price is fantastic! I have a friend that referred this to me, he “upgraded” from this set and was very disappointed; not only did the “upgrade” cost him over $200, the charge doesn’t last as long and the ear cushion ripped after just a few months. Last, the sound quality through the headset, as well as the mic, are also great quality!

Great Headphones but..
1 YEAR LATER UPDATE (Sept 21, 2024): Ok so I said in my last update that was going to be my last, but seeing how a year has passed, I thought maybe someone out there may find it useful and are curious as to how these are holding up so here I am back at it again: Yes the headphones still work, no issues with battery, Bluetooth, turning it on, etc… Everything still works wonders. The padding on the headphones haven’t flaked off. No weird crackling sounds from audio, still crispy and clear. Mic still works. The white version hasn’t turned yellow or any sort of weird color, still looks brand new. I haven’t ran into any issues with these. They haven’t randomly shut off or stopped working. I haven’t had problems with the headphones wearing down or pieces breaking off. Everything is still intact like when I first got it. My final thoughts? Honestly, I’m still a proud owner of these headphones. I don’t regret buying these. They are well worth every penny spent. They have saved me and spared my wallet many trips at constantly trying to replace my wired earbuds hehe :)UPDATE (Dec 10, 2023): This is going to be my last update probably, but I finally got around to testing the calling feature accidentally and it works great. Friend was able to hear me clearly and loudly while I was walking around crowded areas and I didn’t have to talk so loudly when calling. My talking volume was like when you talk to a friend that’s right beside you. Kind of like loud whispering haha, had no problems connecting the headphones to the call at all either, super easy process :)UPDATE (Nov 22, 2023): For those wondering, nearing the 1st-2nd week of October the battery finally went down to 75% and than later it went down to 50% so the battery did in fact last for a month (maybe even longer if I didn’t charge it). I used it for a couple hours (1-3hrs) between classes, though I didn’t use these headphones everyday so that may be why it lasted for a month. The app connected with the headphones works great and bluetooth still works fine, no random disconnects. I still agree with everything I said in my previous update!UPDATE (Sept 30, 2023): So it’s been about a month of usage and the battery life is absolutely insane. I haven’t charged it since the day I got it (Sept 4, 2023) and it’s been a blast. These headphones are pretty durable. I can confidently throw them in my bookbag and not have to worry it might get damaged. I also don’t have any issues with the headphones getting dirty easily (specifically the white version) if that’s a concern you may have. Sound leaking is still apparent, I always have to be conscious about my volume being too high or not in a quiet room which is still something I can’t get used to. I noticed the more I used the headphones, the less tension it caused for my ears and the more my ears started to adjust to them. I think at first your ears may feel tight, but after awhile it kinda gets used to it and hurts less, at least, that’s how it was for me. Headphones are still going strong and still look brand new. 100% would recommendORIGINAL REVIEW (Sept 4, 2023):To address the other reviews I’ve been seeing, here’s what I’ve come to terms with:WHAT I LIKED:- Very sleek and minimalist. I live for the design, I think it’s a great and very aesthetically pleasing.- You have the option of changing the EQ setting (I changed it so bass can be more and they sound great even without tweaking the settings. Big fan of this feature as this is my first time ever being able to control the EQ settings)- Connects easily once you get through the app process + Bluetooth connection is pretty good, doesn’t disconnect randomly.- Sound is good for me. Not very headphone savvy, but I can feel the beat of my music and that’s always an A in my books.- Good PASSIVE noise cancelling, these definitely aren’t active noise cancelling, but the padding does make your surroundings a little bit muffled so you don’t hear as much. Which is fine with me since I’m planning to go to school with these and need to hear my surroundings most of the time.- Doesn’t bother my earrings, don’t even notice they’re there.- Good battery life, nothing to complain about. Works throughout the day and can usually take on a few more days, which I find to be pretty impressive.- like that it’s lightweight, I can put it around my neck without it being bothersome for long periods of time and while walking with them on, I don’t feel like there’s a weight on my head.WHAT I NOTICED/OTHERS MAY FIND BOTHERSOME:- In terms of sound leaking, these DO leak. they leak if you go past 50% or higher. This isn’t an issue for me since the sound is already pretty loud at 20-30%, but considering those who love to blast music, it may be an issue.- hurts your ears when wearing it for too long.- these do NOT fold. Might be kind of inconvenient if you want to travel a lot with these, though, there are cases to store these specific headphones so it might not be so much of a problem for some.- the volume up/down and pause buttons are hard to differentiate between. They all kinda feel the same when wearing the headphones and although it’s not a big deal to me, it could be inconvenient and frustrating to others.Haven’t tested out connecting w/ 2 devices at the same time, but the things I said above were the things I noticed when I first unboxed and tested them. In my opinion, I think these are great, they work for me, and I like them. Gave it a 4 stars due to all the factors I noticed that may be a hindrance to myself and/or others when wearing these headphones. Otherwise, I think these headphones are worth a try. 9/10 for me

Comfortable, good quality and reasonable price
We bought these for our daughter. She is impressed by their comfort and sound quality. She also likes that theyre light-weight and not bulky. The mic works well. We have had multiple phone conversations while she was wearing them and it is clear. The one tricky thing, which isnt a huge deal, is that she said the off button is a bit clunky in that it isnt always initially clear to her if they actually turned off when she tried to turn off. But minor detail and not a deal breaker by any means. Overall, she is very pleased.

Low profile! Mostly better than beats…
I have gone through a few pairs of beats and some various other brand, like tozo headphones. They each have things that the other doesn’t, but out of the three, I prefer these by Sony. The first thing I love about the headphones is the comfort. They are low profile… This is exciting because other brands stick out so far from my ear, or just don’t fit. I have a narrow face and sometimes have to wear kids sized things. For ex, I wear a 47/48 in eyeglasses. So if that helps anyone out there looking for a smaller pair of phones, these are where it’s at!Second, they charge crazy fast! 50 hours of use between charges and they weren’t lying when they said 3 min charge gets you an hour and a half! Do the math lolThirdly, the sound quality is amazing…. In the app that you download as an accompanying tool, you can choose between multiple pre-set equalizer options, or create some of your own… You can connect right to the app, or you can forgo this option, which I don’t recommend. Basically you will need to change the eq according to what you are doing. I listen to music and take calls on them, but I have to change the settings when I watch a movie. Don’t fret though, because connecting to your phone is easy, and in your Bluetooth menu, you can see how much they are charged up. Every call I have taken on them is crisp to hear, and the people I have spoken with said they heard me perfectly. Just like many other brands, you can control the volume on the right ear, also change tracks and answer/end calls. Finally, my favor thing about them, is the price. I absolutely love the fact that I could pick these up for under $60. I have other working headphones but these were a must, right when I noticed them. As I said, it’s the low profile that did it for me, and because they are smaller than other pairs, I can wear them in my neck and bring them everywhere…. Every single one of these things makes it incredibly valuable for my autistic existence… They rescue my from many unwanted and painful sounds! Some things I didn’t like:They don’t fold in for storing in a small caseThey don’t come with a caseYou can’t listen while they chargeIf you could, the cord is a bit shortThere is no ACN, nor other passive optionsIt’s incredibly easy to put them on flipped (because aside from the buttons, they’re very symmetrical – which I like)Bottom line: they meet my needs and then some. They are comfortable, sound great and look even better with their slim lines. Apparently, you can even connect multiple devices to them, as well .. You might not yet know how much you need these!

Simple, Affordable, and Easy to Use Headphones
These are really decent headphones and a good deal for the price, compared to prices from competitor brands. The quality of the sound is good, nothing extraordinary, but that won’t really matter if you’re just trying to listen to music on your phone or computer. It’s not bad but the bass could be better, but you can’t really complain because they’re affordable. If you’re looking for something with higher bass and sound quality maybe look in to the Sony WH-1000XM4, a tad more expensive but are bass oriented. These headphones are smaller which I like because they don’t look so big and bulky on your head you’re looking for something simple 🙂

The Sony WH-CH520 Wireless Headphones offer outstanding battery life, lasting up to 50 hours on a single charge. for every day!!!
i love these! they work so well i have had them for about a year now and im still extremely satisfied with their quality. over the past year, i have not had any isssues with bluetooth connection, microphone audio quality, or sound quality. i bring them with me on bike rides, walks, and lifting and they stay on my head nice and snug. i got these on sale last year but they definitely are worth the original price and i stand by that. i would get these again if something were to happen to this pair.

Solid performer all around for the price with a timeless design
These are great headphones for this price, and they can often be found at a discount. I’ve used them extensively for the past few months and they have gotten better over time.COMFORT:Initially, they were a bit stiff and uncomfortable, especially the ear pads. They would make my ears a bit sore after an hour or two of use. After a few months, the ear pads and headband have softened up and they feel much more comfortable. I can wear them all day and not feel a thing. They somehow feel more comfortable than my Sony WH1000XM4’s which are $300 premium noise cancelling headphones. The XM4s make my ears very hot and the top headband hurts the top of my head after a while. These WH-CH520s keep my ears cooler by virtue of them being on-ear rather than over-ear, as well as staying comfortable on my head all day due to their light weight.SOUND QUALITY:The sound quality on these is great for the price and size of the drivers. Out of the box with no EQ I’d describe the overall sound as being slightly warm but very accurate. They have a slight V-shape Harmann Curve sound profile, with very clear and present mids. The bass is clear and pretty clean without being too thumpy; not the quickest bass response I’ve heard though. The trebles are a bit recessed but pleasant on the ear. However, you can boost the treble up with EQ in the Sony Headphones app at 6.3K Hz by a few dB to get more detail. These are definitely geared towards general consumer use with a very slightly sound profile perfect for pop, rap, rock, edm, indie, podcasts, etc. However, I was surprised to find that the bass is very tame and accurate, and the mids are crystal clear and sit perfectly in the mix. At this price-point and target consumer I was expecting these to be very boomy and washed out sounding, but they are actually very balanced and accurate. They really shine in vocals, voices always sound very forward and detailed. In terms of sound stage, they’re a clear step above any in-ear headphones, but they aren’t as wide as a typical over-ear headphones, which is to be expected. Imaging is great and accurate, they do a great job accurately placing all of the instruments in a stereo mix. Overall the sound on these pleasantly surprised me and definitely punch way above their weight class for the price. They sound as detailed and accurate as $100 headphones. If you’re looking for something very “neutral,” these are your headphones. But with the EQ provided in Sony’s Headphone app, you can theoretically have these sound almost exactly how you want.BATTERY LIFE:Battery life on these is amazing. They can last me around 4-5 days with around 7-8 hours of use each day. I use them nearly all day during work. They charge really quickly too, which is great.FUNCTIONS:They have a standard pause/play/skip/answer/hang-up middle button, as well as volume up and down buttons. You can skip and rewind by holding the volume buttons. They can also be paired with Sony’s headphone app which allows you to change the EQ settings for these and have them sound how you want. There aren’t a ton of sliders for the EQ, but enough for most people to customize their sound to their liking. There’s also a fun custom EQ feature in the app that asks you to pick your favorite sound profile from various examples and builds you a custom EQ profile based on your taste. The microphone on these are pretty good for headphones. They sound better than average in terms of headphone mics, but they don’t sound nearly as good as the iPhone 15’s built-in microphone. But if you need these for a quick phone call or video call, they work great. They can’t fold up in any way but the ear cups can swivel up. So if you take them off your head and swivel them to hang around your neck, the ear pads will face up; which isn’t good nor bad, just something to keep in mind.EXERCISE:If you’re the type to use headphones rather than earphones when exercising, these would probably suffice. They are breathable and lightweight, while also having a decent clamping force to stay on your head. If i shake my head vigorously though, they inevitably fall off. The earpads are a faux-leather so they’re very easy to wipe off and clean. Although, I’m typically the type of person to use earphones while exercising. The most extensive exercise I’ve done with these headphones is skateboard with them, but as soon as I start jumping around to do any tricks, they start to slide off my head. They should do fine with typical gym exercises movements though, they won’t slide off if you’re looking down.NOISE CANCELLATION:In terms of noise cancellation, they are decent. They obviously don’t have any active noise cancelling features, but passively, they block a bit of noise, maybe 10-12 dB or so. They aren’t going to blow your mind though in terms of noise cancellation. However, if you have music playing at around 40-50% volume, they block out a considerable amount of outside noise like most headphones do. I can walk through busy downtown streets with these and not hear much at all if I have music going. They’ll definitely block out a considerable amount of noise in an office, cafe, train ride, etc. so long as you’re actually listening to something.BUILD QUALITY:These headphones are built surprisingly well. The materials are obviously cheap, but they don’t feel like it. The plastic is lightweight, but solid at the same time. The earpads and headband padding are both the same faux-leather, which is a bit stiff at first but softens up over time. The padding feels like it will last a long time simply because of its synthetic nature.DESIGN:Taste in the way these are designed is obviously subjective, but I think these look great. They have a modern, but more timeless design. They don’t look super retro, but they don’t look super modern either. They just look like clean, standard headphones that will look great for years. I love how the Sony logo is faintly placed on one side of the headband. It’s there, but not obnoxious.

A solid pick
I bought these for a bargain price. My Sony MDR-XB650BTs kept breaking (and while I adore the sound on those they kept going up in price). Knowing Sony’s sound quality to be good, I looked for another pair of Sony bluetooth headphones and stumbled upon these for an incredible sub $50 bargain.I apologize in advance for the constant comparison to MDR-XB650BT in my review. I’m no headphone afficiando, but the only fully experienced reference point I have to compare these to are the MDR-XB650BT which I bought these to replace.MATERIALOn the WH-CH520, the material of the pads appear to be made of synthetic leather. The issue with this is that this material absorbs moisture (oils and sweat) and wears down the fabric over time causing pilling and eventually tearing of the fabric, leaving your ear pads with a spongy hernia.Unfortunately I wasn’t aware of this until only recently and had this happen to multiple MDR-XB650BT ear pads, but I took preventative measures for my WH-CH520 by purchasing a pair of silicone ear pad covers like another reviwer had mentioned to protect them from degrading.Despite the headphones being lightweight and made of plastic they feel sturdy at the same time. They feel less fragile than the MDR-XB650BT which is definitely a plus but I haven’t had them for long enough to talk about the build quality and how long you can expect them to last. By handling them I get this feeling they’re pretty durable. The only thing I find I might be concerned about over time is the swivel.FIT AND DESIGNI have a small head and these fit me fine. The headphones are worn on-ear. They’re a snug fit but can become uncomfortable after about an hour but that’s usually because I wear them tight but I can loosen them when I please. Because of how round the design is there’s a bit of space between my head and headband when it connects to the earpeices which can look kinda goofy (see pic) but it’s nothing major and has no bearing on what I’m looking for in headphones. The good news is because of this gap you can probably wear them comfortably with glasses. The actual ear pads a little small compared to other headphones.I really enjoy the design. The WH-CH520 are minimalist, streamlined, and the matte is charming.SOUND AND SOUND QUALITYBottom line: It’s good.In comparison to other cheaply priced headphones I’ve had the experiences of trying (but not owning myself), the sound quality is good. It’s not stellar but it’s definitely good for the price. One thing that bugs me is the depth of the sound dynamics. In the app, you’re able to adjust and set your own custom EQ settings but the sound quality is slightly boxy or stuffy. I’ve tried a ton of different settings adjustments in the app’s equalizer with it and I experiment with different songs to see which settings holds up between songs, but there’s still a baseline emphasis on lower-mid frequencies in this sound of these. The EQ setting that I find sounds best ends up just being the flat default with bass turned up and 400Hz slightly cut. I do wish the equalizer options in the app were more granular.Overall I find that the WH-CH520 has less of a dynamic range than the MDR-XB650BT. An analogy to this are “blackest blacks” and “whitest whites” on a screen with a dynamic range monitor. In terms of sound this is loudness and quietness in instruments which create a feeling of depth in the music. With the WH-CH520 the actual balance of the volume of the instruments are a bit muddled compared to the MDR-XB650BT.Their noise isolation leaves something to be desired but it’s better than nothing. It’s not the end of the world and I would still recommend these for the price. When you can adjust it right to work around the low-mid oddity it’s actually pretty good. Also, everyone hears things differently and I’m quite sensitive to subleties in sound so take what I’m saying with a grain of salt if you’re not as sensitive.BATTERY LIFEI haven’t even charged them out of the box yet after using them nearly every day and they’re only at 50% battery life. Phenomenal. That’s all there really is to say.FEATURESThere’s a minor feature of these headphones that bug me. At least pairing it with my iPhone, the volume control on these is tied directly to the volume of your phone. If you click the volume up button on the headset, that’s going to use your phone’s volume. The MDR-XB650BT has a separate sound adjustment from your device. Unlike the MDR-XB650BT, with the WH-CH520 you can’t further increase the volume on your headset if the volume of the song on your phone is a tad quiet. This takes away a bit of listener flexibility. As other people have stated, the buttons are difficult to distinguish by finger. The MDR-XB650BT that I’m used to has a button that sticks out between the volume controls where you can press it inward to pause/resume the music or flick the button forward or backward to change the song in a playlist. The WH-CH520’s buttons are flat which makes it harder to distinguish and it does not have that controllability from the headset. You can pause and resume your music with the middle button (which you might mistake for the volume buttons unfortunately) but if you want to change your song to the next or previous, you’ll have to do it on your device.Despite all the negative things I have said, these points are all relative. In a vacuum, these headphones are great for the price especially if you just need a set of headphones that can get the job done while sounding pretty good. You’re probably gonna get more than you expect for the price.

Works great for music not so much for talking
Very comfortable. The size is adjustable which is always good. Sound quality for music is great but I find it picks up background noise too much if I’m making phone calls.I use these for working out or running and they do great! I got the blue color and love it. Quite durable too, I purchased these last year and they haven’t given me any problems at all.

Earcups a bit small, great sound quality, battery life and range
At a $50 price point these headphones don’t fail to deliver. I recommend these for casual audio listening not for gaming as there is a fair amount of delay as with most blue tooth audio devices.Pros-Sound quality is very nice, not overly bass heavy very clean middle of the road audio.Lite weight build, mostly plastic.Long Battery life.Decent range even through a couple walls.Cons-Lite weight build, mostly plastic.Ear cups are on the small side.Significant delay.

Does not connect to my android phone
Works great with my MacBook air from 2014, but won’t connect to my Google pixel 6. Idk why. Sound is great and does good at cancelling noise if the volume is loud enough.

Fell in love immediately i fear…
Pretty good. I was struggling to find good bluetooth headphones that didn’t look ginormous on my head and cane across these. Id say they are worth it. If you’re like me and also would feel awkward wearing giant and dumb looking headphones these would be a good choice for you. Sounds incredible too. I dont know about noise cancellation but my music sounds really good. It also has a feature called 3D music? Which sounds like the music is playing outside on a big boombox, sounds great, you do need music apps that support the 3D music feature though and it didn’t look like spotify and apple music have that. Overall very satisfied.

Nice ,work well.
Great sound and you can answer your phone while listening to tunes. Bit disappointed that SONY is playing the ADD ON game, “if you upgrade to a monthly fee you get the super duper sound equalizer.” WHY? Just sell the product SONY and make it the best you can.

These are great earphones for hearing impaired
I’m hearing impaired. So many of the earphones have too much bass and don’t allow proper volume for Amazon Prime movies. This earphone has a simple app that allows me to adjust the frequency output. There are also some preset adjustments as well. This is a great improvement. I rate thes as a ten

Great for what they are
So, these are not professional grade headphones. I’m sure some audiophile will explain how these are garbage. Take it from me though, someone who has no music credentials other than going to too many punk and metal shows back in the day that I now have permanent tinnitus…these are a good headphone. They are comfortable, they aren’t complete over the ear like studio headphones which is nice for casual use. The mic works well is clear and connects to my phone very easily. The button configuration is not my favorite, I wish they had raised them a mm or so that way they weren’t almost flush, not a deal breaker but takes a minute to learn. I use these for podcasts, Netflix and some Pandora, overall id probably buy these again if I lost them…which would be heard because these work with Google find my device which is an added bonus.

Good I guess
My son loves his so when I needed some I got the same. I think I just like ear pods better. My ears sweat with these on and I’m not sure I like them. Sound quality is good. They fit snug – I don’t feel like they are going to fall off.

Love it!
I tried four or five different headsets before I finally found this. This is the best headset I have used ever. I use it for online meetings everyday. The battery lasts for a long time (many days or about a week) and I like the snug fit. Highly recommend!

I really like these! They fit well, are adjustable, connect super easily, easy to use, and sound good. They are definitely not sound canceling, but it’s good when you’re out and about at the gym or walking to be aware of your surroundings. I do wish they also collapsed a bit more, I’d hate for them to get bent if packed up. Otherwise, they’ve been great and the battery LASTS FOREVER!!! Mic words well for phone calls too.

Decent, but not great
I think I’ve had these headphones for maybe a year now, or a little less, but they are decent headphones. I would not consider these headphones very “bass heavy” , but they are clear sounding headphones. They do have kind of a leather feel to the actual cushions on the headphones, which do bother me a little bit because after a long periods of wearing them your ears will get hot and sweaty. I would recommend headphones that have a “mesh” fabric on the ear cups. If you want a cheap pair of Bluetooth headphones, I highly recommend the $20 (maybe 25) iJoy headphones (older model) that they sell here on Amazon, just be very careful and not step on them because the headband can break very easily That is the only downfall with those headphones.

Won’t connect with Kindle Fire but otherwise good headphones
Liked them and connected to my Android great but Sony headphones wouldn’t connect to my Kindle Fire so I’m returning them. Wish I had known that the App required is CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE on Kindle. Otherwise a good product for a good price.

these are really good, it came with a short length charger, and directions, it connected to my iphone, the BT name wasn’t sony included but still, bass is pretty decent, my cousin said she could hear a little bit of music leakage from the headphone but it shouldn’t be too much of an issueJesus loves you 💞update: these are soooo amazing i use them so much, my battery is somehow always charged?! i think the last time i charged it was maybe a week ago but they’re so good

Better Sound Than My AirPods
I got these during a sale and really just got them as a gift for someone else. When I heard the quality on theirs I had to buy a pair for myself. Holy cow! They are actually better than my AirPods. Are they as good as AirPods Pro? No. But for cheap over the ear headphones these are really awesome. They are very comfortable and feel durable. I was thoroughly amazed with them.

Excellent sound for a low price
There was a time when Sony products had a reputation similar to Apple devices today and reading a review was unnecessary: best in class but at a price. They ruined themselves when they started producing cheap poor quality electronics. THIS, despite the price, is NOT one of those mass market products.I bought these headphones after I accidentally sat on my $150 Sony set of noise cancelling headphones while temporarily cash poor, figuring I would upgrade at a later date.I no longer feel that necessity. The sound quality is excellent and while noise canceling would be nice, my current lifestyle doesn’t include noisy environments like public transportation or jet planes, so meh.For the best sound, I highly recommend downloading the recommended app and taking the time to essentially take a hearing test that it uses to create a custom frequency profile. I was initially skeptical and annoyed at having to deal with possible bloatware, but the results were better than I expected. I mostly listen to classical music, showtunes, and movie soundtracks. The sound of even the densest Romantic orchestra performance becomes a lot clearer, allowing the music to really pop. (I suspect the sound profile compensates for inherent deficiencies of the headphones and Bluetooth as well as those of my aging ears as the bass response was the most notable improvement.)I skipped installing the 3D sound simulation software as it required a monthly subscription for my devices. My only complaint: while wearing the headphones, I have difficulty selecting which one of the three control buttons I want to use. I often have to take the headphones off to select and hold down the middle button to turn on and off the power. This might be because of their slighty shifted location from my previous headset combined with the indistinguishable tactile feedback of their labels.

Good but kinda hurt
I don’t know if these are actually uncomfortable or if I’m just not used to headphones because I’ve been using AirPods ear phones until now but I had these on for maybe an hour and my head and ears started hurting. Apart from that the sound is pretty good and the battery life is really good.

cute and does the job !
pros:1. looks great, clean, slick design.2. light on the head, and feels comfortable for on-ear headphones3. sound is fine, you get what you pay4. good connectivity, no fusscons:1. doesn’t fold, and when resting on neck they fold speaker side up, for some reason.2. buttons suck. mushy, and not as intuitive direction-wise (where you’d think forward play is, is actually backwards play), and hard to distinguish tactile-wise where each button is as they’re all mushed into basically one form.3. no noise cancelling or transparency mode, very basic music only baby!who these are for:1. people who just want bluetooth headphones that does the job2. college studentswhy i bought it:1. they were cute hehe, and my sony wh1000xm4 are sometimes just too heavy on my head.2. when i have a quick day ahead of me, i’d rather bring these since they’re so lightaside from the mushy buttons, if you can get it on sale for around $35 then they’re so worth it ! i would not buy retail .

Great for small heads
Bought these for my sister. She has a small head and a lot of the popular headphones (she had an Anker soundcore Q20 before) tend to run bigger, and heavier and better suited for men. I would definietely recommend these headphones for teen girls or women with smaller faces. As to the sound quality, it is quite decent.

Impressed!
I am very impressed by these. I bought them on a whim for a trip and they work great. The sound is not crazy loud but I don’t like it loud anyway. If you like to blast your music these probably won’t do the job. The battery life on them is excellent. I haven’t charged them since I got them months ago and they’re still at 70%!

almost perfect
So i had a older MDX model of sony headphones. I upgraded to these because my 3yr old set was barely holding a charge. So the good, volume is high. Had to turn phone on max with old set to get good volume, with these, its much louder. The bass and treble is great, its very deep. They fit very comfortable on my ears, i use them at gym for about 3 hours. So far battery life is good, had it about a week, only down to 70% batteryThe cons: Unlike my old headset, it had a switch on it to scroll thru the music to skip or repeat so that i didnt have to keep phone around me. This has no swipe button, only volume up and down and power. My only other issue is my old headset, i had it connected to my phone & tablet at the same time. It would connect to phone for calls and my tablet for audio. This headset its one or the other. So if your at the gym watching videos on a tablet, u have to keep phone in view to make sure u dont miss call or text.Other then that, its a very good headset

Originally a backup now my favorite ones
So I bought these because my other headphones would hang up calls and I needed another pair for when they needed to be charged. These charge very well. I charged them yesterday and it’s around evening time and they are still at 100%. The size is comfortable. My only gripe is the charging cable is so tiny, but fortunately I can use my phone charger for these. The sound quality is soothing and these are so comfortable. They are very light on my head which is rare for over the head headphones. And I love the functionality of the app so I don’t have to keep checking for the battery percentage. All in all very convenient!

Buy it on sale !
I think these are great little headphones, but definitely wait till they go on sale. I find that the actual earmuff of the headphones are on the smaller sides. I’ve seen some lobes peaking through on my larger eared friends. They do not fold up but the earmuffs do swivel for a comfortable wearing on the neck. However, they are lightweight and have some adjustability when it comes to the headband, so overall not an uncomfortable wear. The sound isn’t crazy good, but it is good and more satisfying than my earbuds. I wouldn’t bother with the app, as another reviewer noted, it does have a dubious privacy policy and I wouldn’t say it adds a lot to the experience. I think these suit exactly my needs for a basic, quality set of headphones, but I definitely would wait till they are on sale in the 30-35 range than buying them at full price. I bought them on sale and I think if I had purchased them at full price I would have been more disappointed in the fit and in the app.

Great for everyday commute but not comfortable for extended wear
I was looking for a fairly basic pair of wireless headphones to use for my commute, mostly for listening to music. These pretty much met my needs. Sound quality is good and they connect to my phone easily (but not the smoothest when switching devices). My biggest complaint is that they start to feel tight on my head after an hour or so. I have to take them off as they start to get very uncomfortable. Other than that, these are solid basic headphones.

Small Padding but good headphones
I have small ears and the ear covers barely cover my ears. So it does feel a bit weird. So if you have large or protruding ears do not buy. Aside from that the sound is good but not excellent It does have an app you can customize your listening experience. Battery is good and fast charge. Case does not come with it but you can fins a case for it pretty easily.

The ear-cups are a bit small
The Sony WH-CH520 headphones look fantastic and deliver great sound quality. A notable feature is that you don’t need to turn up the volume much to hear clearly; even at less than half volume, the sound is loud and clear. However, the ear cups are somewhat small and can be uncomfortable, especially around the top part of the ear.The headphones come with their own app, which I haven’t fully explored yet, but it’s a nice addition. They also use a C-type charger, which allows for faster charging. The “Hey Siri” function works well, and the Bluetooth range is decent, although it might cut out if you move too far away in a larger space, like going downstairs while leaving your phone behind.Connecting to Bluetooth is quick and simple. I tested the mic quality by making a call and was pleasantly surprised by the clarity; it didn’t have the usual poor quality of many Bluetooth headphones. Overall, the Sony WH-CH520 offers solid performance and convenience, though the ear cup comfort could be improved.

Good
I had an old pair of Bose headphones that had been sitting in a drawer for several years, a black friday purchase. I used them for about six months as I had older versions that finally died, and my cat knocked over a water glass these were near, but not directly drenched. They got slightly wet and so, as I do with all electronics, I let them dry out for two to three days. They were dead, dead, dead. I couldn’t believe it. No warranty left so I called Bose since I think I paid about $150 for them on sale and they’re a model that sells in the $400 range new. Nothing. No explanation as to why they didn’t just dry out and work. I’m done with Bose. What a waste. Got these for $38, the regular price a month or two ago, it’s July 2024, and charged them up and off we went. They hold a full charge for about a week with regular phone calls that aren’t 24/7, the sound is just fine, and they can connect to anything I want them to with bluetooth. I am now a happy camper and a sony fan. The price went up unexpectedly recently and amazon had them on sale for just under what I paid for them at full price a month or two before. Not sure what that’s about so check a bit before buying. So far so good, if there’s a problem in the future I’ll update, but I’ll never waste my money on Bose again.

I love them
I broke my beats headphones. So I had to buy new headphones. Just to give quick comparison. These are alot cheaper. I had these for 3 weeks. I use them for about hour or more throughout the day. They have not lost a single charge yet. They are still on 100 percent. I am highly impressed. They don’t have as much bass as beats. But I can hear some bass and still have excellent sound qaulity. Very comfortable and lightweight.

Great Sound Quality for Price
First of all, I got these headphones while on sale which in my opinion made them a really good deal for what you get. The sound quality is really good and is comparable to a lot of other more expensive headphones I’ve tried. They aren’t noise cancelling and the sound does leak out but if that doesn’t bother you then they are a great option. When I’ve called people using them they say the mic sounds great as well. Something I wasn’t a big fan about was the material the headphones themselves are made from, it feels very plasticy and cheap but the sound quality makes up for it significantly. If you’re trying to find a good pair of headphones you don’t want to break your bank getting these are definitely a good deal.

For the sound quality and mic, these are a great value. I bought a second pair for my partner. I’m a rock and roller, and classical music came alive for my partner! The cushions are nice and soft and they were easy to pair with cellphones and laptops. The slight downside is after long periods of wearing them, they start feeling a bit tight. And I wish the buttons were raised a bit more for easier volume and on/off control. But, yeah, I’ve purchased two.

Comfortable and pairs with all my devices.
These Sony headphones are perfect! They are comfortable, fit well and they were easy to pair with my Vizio tv, Mac laptop and iphone. I can block out the noisy neighbors and nearby construction noise- Yay!! I have used them for several hours without the battery discharging fully, so I don’t know how long the battery will actually last. They seem to recharge quickly. I like them more than I thought I would. I would definitely recommend them. 5 stars!
