Great Carry-On
Wanted to replace my old carry-on that I keep packed at all times ready to go on a trip with a lighter-weight version of the same size. Chose this one because it closely resembled the layout of my old one that just needed to be a bit lighter weight. It works perfectly with the outside pockets, the wheels, the expandable main compartment. Glad I purchased it & recommend it to others.

Great Small Sized Suitcase
My wife and I make a number of small trips throughout the year and this is a perfect sized suitcase for up to 3 days of travel. It is very well made and holds up well to travel bumps and bruises. This was purchased as a replacement for other suitcases that certainly were not able to live up to the demands of constant use.

Well Made; But…
I wanted a nice, sturdy piece of luggage. I typically travel light; but, thought it would be good to have a larger suitcase. I liked this piece until I took a few minutes to see how much it would hold. I didn’t want to overstuff it. I just wanted to see how many pieces before it filled up. It held quite a bit; but, the test was in the lifting. I had to be realistic and accept there was no way I could safely lift this luggage in the event I would have to carry it up stairs or in and out of a vehicle. If these are not concerns for you, then I highly recommend this item.

pretty nice quality
This carry on bag arrived today. I looked at all the reviews on Amazon and saw that everyone gave it a good report. I love the bag – the color is beautiful, seems to be sturdy, but lightweight…I took off a star because it is made in china. I look for this information when shopping, and didn’t see who made it.

Quality bag
My daughter travels internationally and had to replace an older suitcase. Having purchase SwissGear in the past it was an easy choice. The bags are lighter in weight, but quality material. This makes them great when you have to meet weight restrictions. Multiple pockets and wheels that turn in all directions further adds to their convenience. A great product.

Excellent quality and value
Very happy with this suitcase. I bought this used/opened-the product description said minor cosmetic issues, but it was perfect when I received it. It’s going through baggage services anyway so it’s going to get scuffed anywayIt has a nice removable compartment for toiletries and a side zipper that opens up to make the space larger if needed. It rolls very well and is sturdy, I don’t feel it will fall apart anytime soon like the one I got from Walmart did

Wasn’t a fan of carryons but…
After ticketing two flights and seeing $40 each way for a checked bag I decided to go this route. Nearly paid for itself on one trip. I holds a surprising amount of stuff (enough for a nine day summertime trip to WA). Seems to be very well made and should hold up for years.

Great luggage for the money
High bang for buck. If you want luggage that is solid but doesn’t cost a fortune, and is going to get abused at the airport anyway, buy these. The dark gray is good at hiding stains and rubs. Recommended.

Does NOT meet regulations for Carry-on Luggage
This is a great bag. I bought it to replace an 18 year old SwissGear 2 wheel carry-on that had been my faithful companion on dozens of airline trips, both domestic and International. It still looks almost new. I wanted a 4 wheel bag since I’m not as strong as I used to be. HOWEVER, it is larger by more than an inch than the current carry-on requirements of 21.6 x 13.3 x 9.5. Inches including wheels and handles. Thus, I won’t be able to use it on my upcoming trip to Rome. Since it still meets my requirements for a weeks trip, I will still use it on car and railway trips, but l am terribly disappointed.

Loved this suitcase!
Loved this suitcase! It was made well and had everything I wanted. Deep, outside pockets, thick, well sewn fabric and hardware. Even a water resistant pouch for my perfume. The only issue is it’s size. FOR ME, this suitcase was NOT large enough. When overstuffed, wheels did not roll well. I returned, only to get a bigger one. 🙂

Size inside pockets
I love this suitcase it is a great size and I love the color. Small enough to be considered a carry on but big enough to fit what you need. It has several small zippered pockets inside. One is a plastic pocket that is perfect to contain items that might leak. It rolls smoothly in all directions and the handle stays up and is. Good height to push the suitcase. I love it

Replaced my Tumi luggage with this
I wanted a soft-side carry-on that was attractive with compartments, easy-roll, lightweight, and high-quality. I was prepared to pay a couple hundred dollars if need be so I scoured the internet for options (literally days and hours) and decided on this SwissGear carry on bag. Perfect bag with everything I desired and plus it is much more attractive and more lightweight than the Tumi I had been given as a gift (now sold! Ha). SO grateful for this quality bag. Traveled with it several times now.

So glad I decided on this suitcase
I waffled over whether this was a necessary purchase because we have quite a bit of luggage, but I am so glad I took the plunge. I finally realized that packing a large suitcase is just too heavy and unwieldy, not to mention that it just encourages over packing. I considered getting the carry on sized bag, but these days there’s no guarantee you will find room in the overhead compartments and it’s a little too small for my needs anyway. This medium sized bag holds a shocking amount of stuff. I packed for a week long trip and was able to get an entire CPAP machine/ bag, a very large toiletries bag, a pair of shoes, a large raincoat, a week’s worth of clothing plus two hiking poles and souvenirs into this bag without even having to unzip the bag to expand to gain the extra space. I got several compliments on the appearance of the bag. I like to check my luggage anyway, so this being bigger than a carryon is not an issue for me. The wheels seem sturdy and glided over uneven surfaces just fine. This is still new and I’ve only used it once, but I’m already considering getting more pieces from this company for family members or to add on for longer trips. The cost was quite reasonable in my opinion and I’m very glad I didn’t grab something at TJ Maxx like I was considering. They mostly carry hard sided cases, and after reading reviews of luggage in general I decided soft sided is what I wanted as the hard sided is more likely to crack and has no give. There are several pockets for organization. I chose the dark gray color and I’m very happy with it as it stands out at baggage claim easier than black yet seems like it will still show less dirt than a lighter colored bag.

Looks like a good value at this price point.
Overall, this bag (25″ size) seems well made and sturdy. The interior is roomy and uncluttered, with just one side pocket, which is plenty. The two outside pockets are mostly for show (the lower one has a fake gusset that looks nice but doesn’t actually expand), but they’ll be useful for a book or two, or travel documents. The wheels are more substantial than some I’ve seen on other bags — as I haven’t used it yet, I don’t know how they’ll roll. I like that the bag has a handle on the bottom as well as on the top and side — that should make it a bit easier to lift. The retractable handle feels a bit lightweight and flimsy. The outer fabric is some sort of textured, unwoven polyester — it’s fairly beefy but I don’t know how tear-resistant it will be. I like the grey color — it’s just different enough from the ubiquitous black to make it easy to spot on a luggage carousel. I took off one star for the flimsy handle, non-woven fabric, and fake gusset, but I’m pleased with it otherwise. There are better quality bags out there, but this is a nice bag for the money — it’s well designed and I’ve spent more for less.

Second suitcase
This is the second suitcase of this brand and style that I have purchased. I liked the 20″ carry on so well, when I needed something slightly larger, I bought the same one in the 24″. The case is heavy duty and the zippers are robust and feel tough. It wheels nicely, and when expanded you can pack A LOT in there. I can get a weeks worth of clothes, shoes and toiletries in the carry on! The handle is fine, it can be a bit wobbly, but it does not feel cheap or like it is going to break. I like the side handle for heaving it up into the airplane storage- it makes it easy to handle. People are often surprised how heavy my bag is and how easily I can move it with the handle options. I also like that it is nicely balanced- it does not tip over which I HATE in cheaper bags. I have used the heck out of these bags and find, for the money, they are well worth the purchase!!

Nice container; handle seems flimsy.
I ordered this for a couple of reasons- I wanted the 365 rotation wheels (which my current carryon does not have), and because it got good reviews. (And because I love blue… I guess that’s a third reason).I do like the interior space and features, but the wheels aren’t quite as … flexible? Not sure what the word is I want. “Fluid” might be a better word. Also the handle, as others have mentioned, does not seems quite as sturdy as I’d like. Both when pushing the bag upright or pulling it behind me at an angle, it just seemed flimsy. I’ve only taken one trip (total of 6 turns around airports) so far so I guess time will tell.

Works great until it doesn’t.
We had one of these for a while and took it on about 8 trips. On the ninth trip, while getting on the plane, the handle extension would not go down. I tried everything and ended up putting it lengthwise in the overhead cabin with the handle extended. Once at the hotel, i looked closely and the metal “ball” that clips into the opening on the metal extension would not recess unless i physically pushed it in. Then I could get the handle to go down. So on the return trip, we only extended the handle part way so we could get it back down again for the overhead storage. So this recent purchase is a second purchase of the same luggage that broke the first time. We were hoping this one works better. I also have a travel pro spinner and the difference in handle extension quality is obvious. But that was over twice the price of this one. So i guess the old lesson “you get what you pay for” applies here but other than the handle extension issue, the bag was otherwise great. We are hopeful we have good luck with this one.

Excellent Design, convenient front pockets
Loving these new carry-on suitcases. No issues with these on United or Hawaiian airlines. Even with them expanded we were able to fit in the overhead bins.I love the stylish light gray which has a silver look to it, and my husband got the dark gray. Both sharp design.Smooth wheels and handle, no issues there.Front bottom pocket is big enough for my iPad Pro (I think it’s 11” model). Also was able to fit a book in there with it. The top pocket is great for boarding pass, charger, and anything you need quick access to at airport.

Worked great for my cruise
Needed a bigger suitcase for my cruise. The price point on this was perfect for me. It did the job. It’s on the softer side. Shows wear after first use. If it’s for very occasional use, I think it will be just fine. If you’re a frequent traveler, you may consider something a bit more durable.

Swiss Gear Luggage (medium suitcase)
I was in need of new luggage and wanted to try a different brand other than what I see in stores like Marshall’s. This medium size travel bag from Swiss Gear was exactly what I needed. It has enough size for me to pack for a few days along with an extra pair of shoes, it has compartments for cables, and other small items. I wanted it in the red/wine color but it was out of stock so I got it in Black & I like the appearance. The handles are very sturdy and the multi-directional wheels make it easy to maneuver along with the sturdy multi level handle I should have no problem with stability while traveling. This suitcase has a solid feel to it so the overall ease of use should be good throughout my travels.

Small flaw on middle piece of luggage
We were excited to purchase Swiss Gear luggage for future trips. Received the luggage today, and the middle size of the three has a place on the front that looks like a snag without any loose threads. This is disappointing in Swiss Gear and their product. At this point, not sure if we want to live with the minimal flaw or go through the hassle of returning the entire set.
