Become My Favorite
I received a TCL fire tv for Christmas last year and loved it. So I purchased this second one for my living room. The setup is very simple and the design is user friendly. Picture is great, sound quality is great. What’s different from my last one is this one has the button on the remote to easily access the whole app menu which I love. Great quality and good value for the money.

Poor image quality: Image is super pixelated
I wanted to love this TV, but unfortunately the quality of the pictures is very lacking. Tried adjusting a few settings but didn’t really do much.

Very slow UI
I purchased this specifically so I wouldn’t need my firestick, but after using the TV ‘natively’ the UI is extremely laggey/choppy. My firestick(that is now a few years old) works seamlessly/quickly between screens, so I’ll be going back to that. TV was delivered the next day, picture is decent, was a fair price, so 3 stars.

Great picture
I love the almost none existent bevel on this TV. The picture quality is amazing. The set up was exceedingly easy. So far it’s well worth the price and competes with many of the tv’s that are double the price or more.

Missing remote
Have not even got to watch the TV yet. The accessory bag with the user manual, screws for the stand and the remote were missing from the box. Now to wait for it to get replaced.

Refurbished Tv Be aware
I’m very disappointed with Amazon delivery and other services. I received a refurbished tv. I purchased a new tv. Also this is a fire tv but it doesn’t connect to my Alexa products properly nor correctly. I will never make a large purchase from Amazon again. First and foremost, Amazon makes promises that they don’t stand by nor keep. Secondly the deluxe deliver and set up sucks.

All buttons work EXCEPT the HOME button
Was originally going to get a ROKU because that’s what I’m use to. This was on sale for less with more specs so I thought I’d get more bang for my buck right!?? WRONG!!I turn on the the TV (with the remote) it asks me to press the home button to set up and pair with TV and the home button NEVER worked.Here’s the kicker… ALL THE REST OF THE OTHER BUTTONS WORK. Volume, power button, back button etc.I research and tried all the troubleshooting steps still wouldn’t work. I called TCL and they have horrible customer support.I just paid to get this TV and to get it mounted but NEVER got to watch anything on it because of ONE button!!!!! How is this the NFL official TV!!??I tried using the app remote on my iPhone but I can’t use it until I Set up my TV (which requires the home button)P.STV came and I immediately noticed that there was air bubbles in the tape. Meaning that the TV was opened at one point before I opened it.I ignored it and figured if it worked I’ll overlook it but now that I can use my tv at all I might as well note that as well.

Didn’t work
I love the look and slimness of the product. However plugged it in and it failed to power on. I tried different outlets, the power cord seem to not fit correctly. I tried multiple times to no avail. I had to return. It also does not fit any regular 55 inch walnuts. Mine would have stuck out of the bottom of the TV.

Defective TV
I received this TV yesterday. I turned it on this morning and it worked fine. I tried turning it on later in the day and now it won’t turn on. The screen will flash the Fire TV sign and then go blank. I called TCL to troubleshoot. Went through the troubleshooting steps and they told me to return the tv. So now I am out of $400 and a TV until I receive my refund. The return/refund process was easy. I am mad because I had already paid to have the TV mounted and had to take the TV down myself off the mount. Now I will have to pay to have the next tv mounted again.

Worth the wait and every penny
So my Samsung TV that originally cost over $1000 died on me after 13 years. My spending has changed so I wasn’t gonna get another TV that expensive but I wanted the same size or bigger. Que this hidden gem of a surprise. Plus it had built in fire TV 😊 already planning to buy another! A very good buy

Works as advertised but a little disappointed
Works as advertised so far (three days). Never had a TV this large so do not know what I should expect. But disappointed that the picture is not as sharp as I expected out of 4K-UHD. No better overall than my 32″ or 40″ TVs, just bigger. I realize I cannot expect “great” for this price.

For the money it’s just ok, but the fire interface almost ruins it.
The good: The picture when sitting right in front of the TV is actually decent. The sound quality is good.The bad: The picture contrast goes down quickly when changing viewing angle. About 45 degrees from center image looks washed out and unsaturated.”The Fire” interface is very slow, clunky and the worst part of this TV. After spending a couple of days setting up apps, I gave up and switched to Chromecast 4K dongle and it works so much better!If I had to do it again, I would avoid this TV and especially anything with an Amazon Fire interface based on this experience.

This TV does so much more than we expected. The colors are so vibrant, you feel like your right there. Husband is watching football and its such a clear picture. Sound is excellent as well. If we need to replace the bedroom TV we will definitely go with the TCL product.

Slow, laggy, and cheap.
I can’t believe Amazon attached their name to this TV. Don’t get me wrong, the picture is great… but then it isn’t because out of no where the picture dims, washing out all the color and brightness.. And then there’s the operating system. I swear I could create a better operating system using a Texas Instruments TI-108 calculator. Press any button on the remote and be prepared to wait anywhere from 5 seconds to 30 seconds for a response. And then when you try switching to a different input (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.) and watch as it tells you that there is no signal, even though you were just on it 10 minutes prior. I don’t know if TCL or Amazon is to blame for this TV, but whoever signed off on it needs to be publicly shamed. I knew it would be a cheap TV at this price, but this thing is Fisher Price cheap!!! Save your money. I’m already looking at buying a new TV to replace this one.

Excellent. My problem is with the external remote from my service provider not working on off-on or volume. Service came out three times, got it working, and eight hours later problem reoccurred. So I use the TCL remote for off-on and volume.

super light weight. works great!
Very happy with this TV. The interface is easy to navigate. set up was a breeze. so light weight that I could easily set it up by myself. I’m 5″ 119 lbs. sound quality to me is not great but I bypass it anyway and use my Sonos system which rocks. But that is something to be mindful of if you do not have a great surround system in place.

Works well, great picture.
Love having Alexa built in along with other premium apps. Works great. One small nit, Bluetooth is hard to navigate to and volume control does not translate well to headphones. (That’s why 4 stars). In addition (not a TCL issue) the TV was clearly a repack / return and then sent to me as new. Came with an open remote, cables and owners manual, broken styrofoam, and retaped box. But in all fairness, Amazon customer service made it right and took of me.

It’s taking me a while to get used to Fire TV. The TV itself was was easy to set up. Also 4k is weird and I like it on reality shows but movies and TV shows not so much. I figured out if I switched the picture to custom, it looks normal again. Also, delivery was fast. All in all I’m happy with the purchase

I would not recommend this TV.
Image quality is fine.Processing power is trash, It takes me 13 second to turn the volume up from 0-20, then it overshoots to 23 or 24.Says it supports Dolby Atmos, and it might as a standard/codec, but it sure as shit isn’t producing Atmos audio from the monitor.This one is on me, I didn’t see that it was Fire TV, not Google TV. If I saw it was Fire TV, not Google TV, it would have been a hard no.
